Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Actually this makes sense when you consider that a large number of Jews work in the financial markets. If you saw the short interest in insurers, reinsurers, and airline stocks increase significantly, you'd probably have gotten out of town prior to 911 as well. I wonder what happened to the short interest in those groups of stocks today?

Perhaps not, but you made some serious allegations, that some people in the financial markets, Jews, who else, had prior knowledge of the events of 9/11, and used it to "get out of town", leaving (I presume) the gentiles to die.

It frightens me for several reasons:

1. The statement made earlier this year supposedly by Bin Laden where he predicts his death in 2003 in the "belly of America" or something like that.

2. Islamic prophesy predicts the return of the last Imam during a Ramadan with a double eclipse.

3. Moslems believe that "Night of Power" - the "Laillat al Qadr" - is when the fate of the world for the coming year is determined.

4. Fanatics (of all types) have a propensity to try and "help out" in the fulfillment of prophesies and predictions.

I'm just concerned that the bad guys will try and take advantage of this.

Seriously, I hope that all of this talk turns out to be just that - it's not the first time the rumor mill and threats have had me frightened and up til now I've guessed wrong. I hope I'm wrong this time too

What you say makes a lot of sense.

I think OBL siad something about the "belly of the eagle", which most people took it to mean the US.

I think the terrorists will certainly be trying and I am sure they tried last year too. So you may not be wrong in your assessment, we just hope our law enforcement stays on the ball and catches the bad guys, locks them up ( or kills them) and ask questions later.

I think there was more to Padilla's connection to dirty bombs, than what the press said.

ANNOUNCEMENT

As the visitors to this site are aware, our site was suddenly and seemingly inexplicably taken offline from approximately 7 PM on Thursday, 30 October 2003 until approximately 7 AM on 1 November 2003. At the same time and not coincidentally, a thread on a prominent Arabic forum was started that linked to this site. For those visitors who did not have the opportunity to view the posted material, here is an admittedly rough translation of two (2) forum posts that appeared on this Arabic site, with the site poster’s name omitted:

Surprise, bashir al-nagdy is on an ameircan site during my search I came upon this site that, it seems, follows our arabic forums closely, apparently they update thei information everyday upon stumbling upon new info There is an article entitled: the prediction of an audio tape released by obl in ramadan, it is translated into english without a reference to its source, in addtion to this there is a number of other copied articles, among them is an article about shiekh bashir al-nagdy, it is on the bottom of the page, it is translated on the site http://www.hagmannpi.com/terror.htm

does this mean we follow the policy of "kill or be killed"?

Obviously, this post and the somewhat veiled threat, garnered the interest of investigators of the Northeast Intelligence Network, several which are extremely proficient at tracing the origins of emails and forum posts. Additionally, several "support agencies" who wish to remain anonymous provided their time and effort on Sunday, 2 November 2003 in order profile the poster(s), constantly monitor the entire Arabic forum in question and further, to trace and identify the origin of the threat. It was interesting that during the surveillance of the forum in question, a second series of posts appeared and were immediately investigated "in real time." In tandem with that investigation, the hosting ISP for the Northeast Intelligence Network was placed on notice by a corporate attorney to save, preserve, and protect any and all server and host logs, internal and external communication, including but not limited to incoming and outgoing emails, internal emails, telephone message logs, case file entries and case file data pertaining the site being taken offline.

This process was accomplished behind the scenes and during a period when the security services from another ISP were notified of a potential threat. That ISP was able to successfully identify the origin of the "threat" and subsequent threats and communications by the alleged "Arabic" poster and has, pursuant to a request from our legal counsel, has pulled and will retain all relevant ISP activity. For nearly 12 hours on Sunday, 2 November 2003, people rallied around our network and assisted in ways that could not be anticipated. For their efforts, a simple "thank you" will never suffice.

Although I have been advised by my corporate legal counsel not to make any official statement, the following has been cleared and approved for public comment:

"We believe that we have not only identified the origin of the posts, but the identity of the poster(s), who reside(s) in the United States." Accordingly, it is our intention to pursue all legal remedies against the individual(s) involved and will work with federal and state law enforcement agencies as needed. We further intend to seek actual and compensatory damages for the reckless actions of the offending parties separate from any contemplated or actual criminal charges."

That said, we can now get back to the business of tracking foreign terrorists.
