Very uneasy feeling these past several days. I hope it's just the weather.

I have very little faith in those roadside sensors, because believe me, there are no cops on the 59th street bridge who could stop the truck if one of the sensors goes off. I have more faith in the satellite tracking.
Actually, the sensors seem to be working. There have been a number of reports in the medical literature of patients that had nuclear medicine procedures, which cause them to give off small amounts of radiation for a short time, causing the alarms to go off in subways, public buildings etc.

Considering we've been (NY...I'm in what is known as a 'bedroom community') at Orange since 9/11...I honestly can't figure out what constitutes the color system. I don't see extra police presence, we still have private planes flying over, I haven't seen military fly over since 2001, and the so called sleeper cells here are still here.
So I am disenchanted with the color alert system.
