Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I have been watching EOM for months now, and am of the STRONG opinion that he and "Daleel" are fake. Total and complete BS.

Also - think it through. If these guys WERE real and had suitcase nukes, do you think they'd be going after chemical plants (shooting story), bridges and reservoirs? Uh-uh.

IMHO, NOTHING will happen 2/2 or 2/4. (Or, if anything..attacks with conventional weapons). But, it's worth analyzing and discussing. I just think that the guy is total BS as he has said the same thing over, and over, and over, and..

I must say I am concerned about Houston and the Super Bowl. I have a question...is the President planning on attending the game? If he were to come, they probably wouldn't announce it for obvious reasons.

Children are always saying odd things like that ... most of it never happens. You only remember the things that do.

I don't particularly find the reposting EOM's messages annoying or that they shouldn't be done, but looking at everything he's posted he looks like a fraud.

Not necessarily. A suitcase nuke can only affect a relatively small area - a few square miles. It's not a high-yield device, and even if it were, it could affect at most one city area. In order to do a really serious amount of damage to a country as large as the US you'd need many dozens or even hundreds of them. Even if they have a few I doubt they have that many.

I do agree with your main premise however - he's posted all too many messages about immediately impending events that never happen. Plus, if he DID have operational knowledge of an impending attack and was this chatty about it, any covert operation worth its salt would have seen to it that he was silenced.

On the other hand if he's a semi-official or official publicity mouthpiece, he's talked entirely too much about operational details and has done a poor job of publicity.

That sounds good -- but also if you think about it, how do we know who the AQ are? Just as we could have intel agents reading and posting, so could AQ types, and we wouldn't know. Remember, some of them are quite educated, and some, like John Lindh, could be native Americans, so we couldn't tell anything from watching for grammatical errors.

I think that's what makes it interesting. As you say, disinformation may already be posted. The fun is trying to separate unconfirmed rumors from AQ disinformation, from our disinformation, to actual information. I think AQ is planning attacks, but is also spending considerable effort of trying to frighten us, by spreading disinformation.

When this thread was started in early November, many laughed at the Debka article and other info, which pointed to AQ preparing for a major attack over the holidays. Two months later it was confirmed by HS raising the warning color to orange and more info in the main media.

I just read over on Quayle's site that "the event" was supposed to happen before February, and before the feast of Eid. It also said there would be a video released right before the event. I think, could be wrong, that this info is over on the NEIN site as well.
I am very new to message boards, terrorist threats have only recently bothered me, and I know nothing about the history of NEIN. Does anyone have any info on their track record, or how long they've been involved in this sort of thing.

I suspect that the people at NEIN would claim that based upon top secret information that they have received from top secret sources deep within the bowels of the FBICIANSAATFDHSTSA, none of which can be disclosed at this time or otherwise verified, that NEIN's track record is impeccible.

Add to that, the statement by Sean this is being kept quiet so as not to jeapordize operations, yet here it is, posted on the web and talked about on a national radio program for goodness sake!! that's keeping things real quiet!! I think our chains are being pulled, and not only by EOM Daleel!!

As much as I want the "OBL in custody" rumor to be true, I also fear this is the case.
