Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Heartily agree! We've heard for MONTHS how we are "all going to die soon". Yet, time ticks on, and we are all still here - and I wager will be 12 months as well as 12 years from now.

I am not discounting the overall threat, and think that AQ probably DOES have WMD. But I think we've foiled many potential attacks and will continue to do so.

I also think there's a whole lot of crackpots just posting to 'net BBs as they don't have any other way to hit us. That, and people who outright hate the US and just want to scare us into submission (hint: it's not working). Finally, I think there are (sadly) also people who run "analysis" websites who have other motivations for helping to stir the pot up a bit.

All of this contributes to a high noise/signal ratio, IMHO, although we certainly have to take a look at everything and consider it fully.

Jameelah is Arabic for beautiful; it can also be used as a name. You'll see it spelled Jamila and Gamila too. It's the feminine form; the masculine form of the adjective beautiful is Jamil or Gamil. Again you'll see it used as a name.

Why throw logs if you have sticks? Well first, four airplanes aren't exactly low tech weapons. The WTC collapses have the seismic impact of a magnitute 2 earthquake if memory serves me correctly.

Secondly, the Islamists have an apocalyptic agenda to carry out, cultimating with the return of the mahdi, who side by side with Jesus defeats the Anti-Christ (Dajjal) by slaying him with Al-Battar, the sword of the prophets. In order for the mahdi to be declared a whole series of events have to take place.

September 11 was but one chess piece on the board. To reach checkmate, the other pieces have to be lined up just right.

If anyone is interested, I can post an analysis that I have written about this.

Again, we're talking a different culture, and mindset. We aren't going to understand it.
