Al Qaeda again threatens New York, Washington and Los Angeles - Daily Terror Threat

A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

I think he has. (I don't have copies of the posts handy) except that those dates came and went. I keep waiting for some member of law enforcement to yank this creep for making threats. Surely they know about him. Why haven't they stopped him/her?

That's right... I recognized the song and was just about to post that. The Skyhooks were a pop group in Australia in the '70s. My aunt lived near Melbourne at the time and sent me that album for Christmas when I was a teenager.

I've been watching EOM since the beginning of his current posting cycle and the longer it goes on the more it seems like complete BS. If this were "credible" why would the site not be shut down anyway? I have always wondered that.

If EOM is a 'chain-jerker,' can he/she/they be prosecuted for posting terroristic threats on the Internet? That'd be nice.

Certainly, what EOM is doing should be assumed as a threat and would likely be rewarded with arrest/jail time. It's no different than someone passing a note to a flight attendant saying they have a bomb, even if they do not. Furthermor, if EOM is a fake, he is perpetuating a threat for a long period of time... this tends to take out the "insanity" theory. I'm not sure, but I would guess the Patriot Act could come into play in the case of a fake as well.

What else do we know about the Skyhooks

As I mentioned in #11003, they were a pop band from Australia in the '70s. They had an Austalian TV program and were kind of 'glam rock' type band. Alot of their songs had a sort of humorous undertone and were sort of tongue-in-cheek.

I have so many scenarios in my head...its like that New Yorker cartoon - "on the Internet, no one knows you're a dog" and has a drawing of two dogs on the computer! Is there Internet law that would cover real or punk terroristic threats? Shoulda' studied hackin' & crackin' in college when I had the chance - I could be working for the government now!

That is what I believe is the central theme. You see it is my belief that there is a concerted effort among a certain clique in the radical jihadist group to put Osama up on the Islamic pedestal as "Al Mahdi". It is my understanding that "Al Mahdi" is to fight Satan (Moshaikh and according to radical islamism is 'the Great Satan the USA') himself along with Jesus in the climatic battle of the apocalypse. Ok, accepting that as a premise, and Osama is Al Mahdi, then who is left to be "Jesus" in such a vignette?

Who would be (or currently is) in effective Command and Control (C2) of al-Qaeda Global Operations? Me thinks Ayman al-Zawahiri.

That these radical islamists are convinced of the the Al Mahdi being among them is evident by the Black Falg if Jihad they are currently displaying in every forum, and theat their words of late are not words of of radical islamic terrorists, but the words of an EMERGING GOVERNMENT as repeatedly reported by StillProud2BeFree.

I would think it would be so easy for the gov't to trace and apprehend EOM; maybe EOM serves a useful purpose whose every "step" is being followed...then one day, POW - a busted EOM and maybe others who use the Internet for posting real/fake terror threats. That'd be nice. Like the New Yorker cartoon says - "on the Internet, no one knows you are a dog."

Upthread, there was also a link to a helicopter with a long cutter on it...can't recall much about it, but it was used sometimes to cut tree branches away from wires, etc. I guess it could look like a "skyhook."
