My ghod, these fires in Calif. are terrible. We used to live in El Cajon and Santee, and had lots of friends in Ramona and Spring Valley.

I wish we were getting more coverage of it back here..

I'm fine ~400 miles from the fires. I have a friend in Santee, talked to her last night. She said the fire coming down the hills looked like lava. She just moved into a new apartment, almost moved into one that has probably burned. She and her neighbors will evacuate if the Walmart burns...

We are ok up here, Gran and thanks for asking. There is a fire in North San Luis Obispo County and we can see the smoke but we are ok.

The fires in socal are awful..there are 14 deaths now. One of the fires was started by some dolt of a hunter who set a fire so his buddy could locate him..doh! What I kind of wonder about is something I heard or thought I heard on the news tonight which was something to the effect that there are other fires that were arson..I am not sure if the meaning was that these other fires are arson too..
