The Justice Department has ordered investigations and close monitoring of polls this Election Day because of increased reports of voter fraud throughout the country.
Attorney General John Ashcroft has directed U.S. attorneys to appoint election officers to deter discrimination and voter fraud and to prosecute violators vigorously under the Voting Integrity Initiative.

Just what is so intimidating about asking a person to show ID? What could possibly be so offensive about ensuring the integrity of the vote by proving you are who you say you are?
I guess if your constituency is made up of illegal aliens and dead people who know they shouldn't be voting, that might be intimidating. But then, keeping those people from voting would be ensuring integrity. I guess Democrats just find the concept of integrity offensive.
