John Solomon just pulled back the curtain on the federal case now surrounding Rep. Ilhan Omar — and his explanation makes the raid look much bigger than a one-day political spectacle.
The headline from Monday was dramatic enough: federal agents entered Omar’s Washington, D.C., home with a court-authorized search warrant and carried away boxes of evidence.
But Solomon says the most important questions are who the real target is, what investigators were authorized to seize, and whether the endgame could reach far beyond an ordinary criminal charge.
Jesse Watters summarized the newest seizure and subpoena details Thursday night:

Trending Politics reports that Homeland Security Investigations agents seized Omar’s cellphone, personal computers, passport, notebooks, and several boxes during Monday’s search. The warrant also authorized agents to collect immigration records tied to Omar and members of her family.
Omar and her husband were reportedly the only people home when agents arrived. She remained there for at least part of the search but did not provide passwords for the seized electronics.
Agents reportedly stayed at the residence for an extended period while carrying out documents and other material.
The report says the potential offenses listed in the warrant included immigration fraud, false statements in immigration proceedings, and conspiracy. Omar and her husband were reportedly home when agents arrived, and Omar did not provide passwords for the electronic devices.
More than a dozen subpoenas have also reportedly gone to people in Omar’s family circle while a Minnesota grand jury examines immigration records. No charge has been filed against Omar, and the sealed warrant affidavit has not yet been made public.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew Sharbaugh reportedly narrowed prosecutors’ access to Omar’s records before approving the search, reflecting the constitutional protections that apply to members of Congress. Agents then remained at the residence for an extended period while removing documents and other material.
The same report says investigators are examining how Omar obtained citizenship after arriving from Somalia as a refugee in the 1990s. The central paperwork question is whether records treated her as 17 or 18 when her father naturalized — an age distinction that could determine whether derivative citizenship was available.
That is where Solomon’s analysis becomes so important.
In a new interview with Glenn Beck, the Just the News founder said a judge had to find probable cause before authorizing the search. He believes investigators may be examining two broad lanes: alleged immigration irregularities involving Omar’s family and questions raised by her financial disclosures.
Watch Solomon’s full breakdown here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbU7HyN6zK0 Glenn Beck asked Solomon to explain what investigators may be looking for and why they acted so close to an election. Solomon focused first on the long-running dispute over Omar’s birth year and how old she was when she became a U.S. citizen.
That one-year difference could matter. Solomon explained that a minor could derive citizenship through a naturalized parent under the rules in effect at the time, while an adult would have to qualify independently.
He pointed to records that once placed Omar’s birth year in 1981 before official biographies were changed to 1982. Investigators are now reportedly examining whether Omar or her late father listed her as 17 rather than 18 in the relevant paperwork.
A fresh summary of the expanding case shows how the warrant, family subpoenas, birth-year issue, and separate financial inquiry now fit together:
Ilhan Omar’s bad week, by the numbers: 1️⃣ A warrant reportedly citing false statements, immigration fraud & conspiracy 2️⃣ Grand jury subpoenas for her family 3️⃣ A birth year changed from 1981 to 1982 4️⃣ A second federal probe into her finances. Solomon also raised a possibility that would explain the unusual election-season timing: Omar may not be the principal criminal target.
Another family member could be the target, he said, while Omar could be treated initially as a witness or as the holder of evidence investigators wanted to secure. What agents found could still lead to a separate action involving her.
And here is the part that changes the entire picture.
Solomon said that even if an old criminal offense were outside the normal statute of limitations, evidence of material fraud in the naturalization process could still support a civil denaturalization proceeding. That would be a different legal track from prosecuting a decades-old crime.
He was careful not to claim investigators have already proved their case. A warrant means a judge found probable cause to search for specified evidence; it does not establish guilt.
Solomon expects the public to learn much more if the warrant application and inventory of seized material are unsealed. Those records could reveal the government’s probable-cause theory and show what agents considered important enough to remove from the home.
A fresh Wall Street Journal report now points directly at the civil path Solomon described, saying the administration is building a case that could strip Omar’s citizenship and ultimately lead to deportation proceedings:
BREAKING WSJ:
The Trump admin’s investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar is aimed at building a case to strip her of her U.S. citizenship and ultimately deport her, according to U.S. officials and other people familiar with the probe. https://t.co/PHvSOihjJN

The second investigative lane Solomon described is moving too. U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro has confirmed that her office is investigating Omar’s financial disclosures after the reported value of businesses tied to Omar’s husband rose sharply.
Omar says the search is political retaliation and has denied wrongdoing.
That defense does not erase the warrant, the subpoenas, or the evidence agents carried away.
It also does not answer the birth-year discrepancy, the derivative-citizenship question, or why federal investigators believed records inside the home would advance an ongoing criminal probe.
Solomon’s bottom line was not that an indictment is guaranteed. It was that the Justice Department and HSI appear to be operating in a different gear, with enough movement across several investigations that the public may finally get concrete answers.
For years, Americans have watched explosive allegations disappear into the Washington fog. This time, agents showed up with a judge-approved warrant, seized devices and documents, and put family members under subpoena.
Now the evidence gets to speak — and if Solomon is right about the path investigators are following, the raid may have been the opening move rather than the finale.

What happens to the investigation when the DSA takes the House?

The federal investigation into Ilhan Omar’s finances will find tens of millions of dollars in reported valuations suddenly vanishing, tax troubles with state tax collectors, and companies reportedly taking in a lot of money suddenly collapsing after overstating their business activity. Having covered corporate accounting frauds at the Wall Street Journal, IRS frauds, and the subprime mortgage fraud crisis, it’s an understatement to say something is seriously off.
In May 2025, Omar’s financial disclosures valued her husband Tim Mynett’s stake in Rose Lake Capital at $5M–$25M for calendar year 2024. It began operations in 2022.
She also disclosed in Congressional records the value of his stake in their winery eStCru at $1M–$5M. The winery launched in 2020.
But just a year earlier, she had reported the stake in Rose Lake Capital was worth only $1 to $1K, and eSTCru, $15K-$50K.
Then came a major reversal. Just this year, Omar amended her 2024 and 2025 disclosures on March 26, changing both businesses’ asset values from millions of dollars to
“None.” For 2024, Rose Lake income changed from “None” to $100,001–$1M; eStCru income changed from $5K–$15K to $2,501–$5K. For 2025, Rose Lake income changed to “None” and eSTCru income changed to $201–$1K.
So what was going on at the businesses that were supposedly worth as much as $30M just two years ago?
In November 2024, Rose Lake Inc.’s CEO, William Hailer, reportedly testified in a bankruptcy proceeding that the company had no money, assets or investments. Right as Omar’s disclosure valued her husband’s stake at up to $25M.
Rose Lake Capital listed its headquarters at 80 M Street SE, Washington, D.C., a WeWork coworking location. There was no visible Rose Lake signage or staff. There are no SEC records that either her husband, his partner, or their investment firm were registered with the SEC as investment advisers. Its website boasted “deep global networks in more than 80 countries” when its D.C. WeWork office shared space with a Walmart operation and the American Trucking Assn.
There was little to no public evidence of real business activity. No verifiable public track record of Rose Lake managing money for investors. No publicly disclosed clients, investment deals, or portfolios identified. Rose Lake’s public website removed the names and bios of its listed officers and advisers amid scrutiny.
Omar’s husband Tim Mynett and his partner had little to no Wall Street experience. They had co-founded a political consultancy, where he helped raise more than $100M for Democrats and worked on Omar’s 2019 re-election.
Her husband’s Rose Lake Inc. had to forfeit its registration in Delaware in 2024 for failing to pay the state a big $403K in back taxes, and for having no registration agent. This was right as Omar was claiming in her disclosures his stake was worth up to $25M from less than $1K a year before. How does a firm that is supposedly valued at that sum not able to pay its taxes?
And Washington, D.C. also had cancelled its registration for Rose Lake Capital LLC, too, for failure to pay reportedly just $1,770 in back taxes. Another inconsistency: the Delaware entity is Rose Lake Inc., but Omar discloses it as Rose Lake Capital LLC.
As for his winery where Omar suddenly valued his stake at $5M in 2024 up from $15K-50K just a year prior - there were wines marketed online, but no signs of a functioning winery facility, tasting room, or production operations at the supposed address.
An investor had sued Mynett and his partner alleging they promised to triple his investment in the winery to $900K from $300K, but failed to deliver returns. He claimed in his suit “there is no legitimate business there.” The dispute was reportedly settled in November 2024. eStCru was subsequently dissolved in California in April 2026.
I doubt any of this is going anywhere but here’s to hoping I’m as wrong as can be.
They better have something big, because if they don’t she will be untouchable.
The citizenship thing certainly won’t go anywhere. This was already investigated in 2019. But the missing millions is another story. Unfortunately, I think her position will protect her for now.
It goes bye bye.
Why do Democrats always have so many questions regarding their birth certificates? Recall the Obama fiasco.
Back in the 1960s the Kennedy administration had an immigration case against someone who was “untouchable”.
What the Attorney General (Bobby Kennedy) did was he had the individual snatched and put on a helicopter—and then dumped into the jungle of Guatemala.
Of course the story did not have a happy ending.
The individual made his way back to the US after a harrowing trip—and then got caught on a FBI wiretap (of another individual) saying “get that stone out of my shoe” referring to the President of the United States.
The man’s name was Carlos Marcello—and he was most likely was a participant in the assassination of JFK.
Can’t they just due a DNA test to determine if she married her brother? Even if it isn’t admissible, they could use it to build other evidence that they are brother and sister.
The real case is about financial fraud and corruption.............
No search of 639,000 others?
Omar’s winery was inexplicably valued at $5M in 2024 up from $15K-50K on official Congressional documents in 2023. Wines were marketed online but there were no signs of a functioning winery facility, tasting room, or production operations at the listed address.
The cover story was that the winery business operated strictly as a “direct-to-consumer label” through a wine-making collective from 2020 to 2023 with actual wine-making facilities elsewhere.
By late 2023, the business had effectively “gone dark,” featuring a dead online presence, disconnected phone lines, abandoned social media pages, and zero wine available for purchase. The entity faced several lawsuits from wine investors alleging fraud and unfulfilled returns.
The business became the center of heavy political scrutiny when Rep. Omar’s congressional financial disclosures initially valued her husband’s stake in the inactive winery at up to $5 million, before she later amended the filings to show it actually carried no net value.
I will love wherever this is going once Omar is denaturalized and sent back to Somalia with no chance of return.

Relax dude, some day the Browns will make a play-off appearance.
And someday the Dems will take the House.
BUT THIS IS NOT THAT DAY.
Dems will allow more criminals to enter and thrive in the USA.

This is situation normal. DC is an Accountability Free Zone. This investigation, like so many before it, will evaporate into nothingness.
Omar’s immigration fraud indicates a crook who does whatever they can get away with, but prosecuting her for it comes across as selective enforcement motivated by politics. Much better to link her to financial crimes as your post points to.
