As the U.S. war with Iran lifts gas prices, there’s one market that’s been surging: secondhand electric vehicles.
The federal government’s axing of clean-vehicle credits made EVs more expensive, which tanked sales of new vehicles. But Cox Automotive estimates used electric vehicles sales likely hitting an all-time high of about 127,000 units in the third quarter, with Tesla being the biggest beneficiary.
“The longer gasoline stays over $4 a gallon, you get a lot more consumers willing to consider and/or pull the trigger on a used EV,” Jeremy Robb, Cox’s chief economist, told Forbes.

Insane to buy a used EV. It costs more to replace the worn out batteries than the car is worth.
Did the fake news mention that Trump accomplished his goals in Iran?
No Iranian nukes.
No more Iranian control of oil trade.
They will have issues when the CCP hacks the power grid.
The batteries crap in the cold too when they’re not spontaneously blowing up on the freeway.
That’ll pass like a bad burrito.
😂👍
The cargo ship Morning Midas caught fire in the North Pacific Ocean and was abandoned by its crew on June 3, 2025, before eventually sinking on June 23, 2025.
The present technological attainment of EV vehicles is still limited by the kind and quality of the battery arrays available.
As a compromise, the EVs now on the road or scheduled to be built should have the option of being available as the hybrid, with either a high-efficiency gasoline or Diesel engine as the on-board power generation source.
For you really high-tech technical types, a Very Small Modular Reactor as the heat source, and a closed recirculating steam power generation system, might take the place of dependence on the grid, and also could be hooked up to the residential power supply system when not being used for commuter purposes.
Better to buy a hybrid. They get great mileage and you can “recharge” them at any gas pump.
Meme.
Great one. Shows why freedom of choice is so important in America.
Strategy is to buy back the used EVs from people and ship them over to distribute free to Iranian regime bosses. One by one they will burst into flames and settle the war problems for our side.
An implosion! LOL!
They implode in people’s yards too.
I’ll keep a vehicle that is engaging and fun to drive: my manual transmission sports car.
That will get the oversized electric golf cart fanbois in a dither.
Dark hair girl has awakon my long dormant loins thank you
No room. Had to fit in "We are all eating more broccoli. Jennifer has the latest."
