President Donald Trump shared a chart on social media this week showing welfare usage rates among immigrant households in the United States.
The chart, titled “Immigrant Welfare Recipient Rates by Country of Origin,” lists the percentage of immigrant households receiving public assistance, broken down by country or region of birth. According to the data shown, approximately 72 percent of Somali-born households in the US receive some form of government welfare, placing Somalia among the highest-listed countries on the chart.
Other groups shown with high welfare participation rates include households from Bhutan, Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, and several African, Middle Eastern, and Caribbean nations, with many exceeding 50 percent.

Tim Walz drops out of Minnesota governor’s race amid fraud scandal
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has ended his reelection bid amid mounting pressure over a fraud scandal that has engulfed his administration in recent weeks.
The move comes days after a handful of Republican state lawmakers asked Walz to leave office, citing reports from a U.S. Attorney that, since 2018, at least half of the $18 billion paid through Minnesota’s 14 Medicaid waiver programs could be fraudulent, and after Republicans in Congress called on Walz to testify about his failure to address the crisis.
Walz, the former vice presidential candidate on Kamala Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign, cited the growing pressure as one of the reasons for his decision to leave the race, though he pushed back on claims that he has not adequately attempted to curb the crisis.
Here’s an idea. No one can immigrate to the United States unless they can prove that a permanent job is waiting for them. Pass a law to that effect.
And passing such a law should be easy. After all, the GOP controls both houses of Congress and the presidency.
I kid about that, of course. When the Democrats control Congress, they do bold things. But when Republicans control Congress, it’s nap time.
We started out taking them from a war torn country to help them. They repaid the favor by becoming leeches. Should have left them.
Patiently waiting for Trump to pile on. Will other republicans follow?
At one time, one of the conditions of attaining and keeping US citizenship was that some sponsor had to guarantee the economic sufficiency of the applicant for naturalization to be self-supporting, or that the said sponsor would take over the economic needs of the applicant. At no time was the applicant to be dependent on the social benefit network of Federal, State, or local governments.
Check the statutes. Probably still on the books, just not enforced.
And not just the Somalis.

Where is this covered in the U.S. Constitforkintution. Nowhere does it say we need to take an entire population of murderers, thieves, freeloaders and pieces of dog S and make them wards of the Caucasian American Taxpayers. Get those piggies out of this country. They are not Americans and a piece of worthless Government paper does not make them any more of a U.S. Citizen than a college attendance “diploma” makes a student employable.
Another thing to think about when you’re crawling out of bed at zero dark thirty for another 8, 10, 12, ?? hour shift knowing your tax dollars are funding this.
At a start up high tech company I worked at there was a woman from Iran. She said she came in as a refugee 10 years ago or so through....Minnesota. So she made her way to Florida and got a job at the company saying she had an engineering degree from Saddam Hussein U or some crap. This lady was a horrible worker and was so defensive no one wanted to talk to her. Then of course she married another Iranian “refugee”, had a baby with severe health issues that the US taxpayer is paying for of course. Once the baby was born with the health issues, she was told by the stupid liberal founders of the company that she “has a job for life.” Unfortunately for her, the morons ran the company into the ground and they recently filed Chapter 11. I left the company in May 2024.
Only 72% ? I find that hard to believe
It should not be possible for any immigrant to collect a single penny from the government
