Perceptions of Other Countries

French-American here — spent 20 yrs in France, 13 in the US. Let me speak to this.

I think the only reason Europoors tolerate their miserable existence is because they tell themselves lies about what the rest of the world is like. They eat gruel in their AC-less social housing while the most awesome party in history is being thrown just next door.

If you hang out in France, you’ll routinely hear them say things like: “in the US, people die in front of hospitals” (they literally believe this to be the case) or “our social system is the envy of the world.”

Their image of the US is completely delusional, and they are often shocked to discover that when they visit here. Their Marxist media brainwashed them into thinking America is some Dickensian horror, with Monopoly-style fat capitalists running around with their top hats and monocles, exploiting dirt poor workers.

Having lived in 4 European countries, there is a LOT of truth in this. I still remember German labor unions and SPD party flunkies sniffing about "Amerikanische Verhaeltnisse" (American conditions/relations) back in the 90s. They were convinced everything was terrible, it was "brutal capitalism" etc etc like what this person describes.

I still remember various Europeans literally thinking they knew my country better than I did on the basis of.....what? Having spent a week in Disneyworld and briefly visited San Francisco? On the basis of what their laughable government controlled media told them? They actually believed this stuff. It was amazing!

I wonder what they would think now? They have no tech sector at all because their technology is behind and they can't innovate. They've been overrun with feral Muslims and Africans. Their socialist welfare states are collapsing. Their large chemicals industry in Germany is now dead and their entire industrial sector is dying rapidly - sacrificed to Gaia. Their energy costs are 4 times what ours are so many of them shiver through the winter now. Oh and did I add they have censorship and government oppression far far worse than anything we have in the US?.

If I go back to Germany I'll have some sarcastic comments (Auf Deutsch natuerlich) about "Deutsche Verhaeltnisse". I'll also ask them who was the last guy to imprison his critics and ban opposition political parties.....maybe throw in a question or two about whether Hugo Boss would care to design some updated snappy new uniforms like their old ones.

When visiting France a few years ago, our guide told us about their FREE healthcare, & then admitted that their income tax rate is 57%. Yep, not that free after all.

Oh it doesn't end there. There's also VAT. There's also a gas tax such that gas costs about 4X what it does in the US.....and they're not even paying for a credible military either.

Visiting Italy several years ago we sat next to a german women who proudly told us she was a physician. Oh, and how can you stand your President Trump (1st term) our news tells us it is terrible in America. We were on our way to Los Vega and saw a dead body on the side of the road. They say everybody has guns. I asked her you really saw a body along the road and you didn’t stop? Well it could have been an animal. I told her she should stop paying attention to the corrupt Euro media. That was end of conversation.
