This is absolutely wild, y'all.
🚨#BREAKING: A white, liberal, Charlotte NC teacher with a nose ring says the hallways of her school are now a "ghost town" after Border Patrol's immigration enforcement.
She also begins crying about how the school has only sent out videos, "in English..." pic.twitter.com/NTfziEN84T— Matt Van Swol (@mattvanswol) November 20, 2025
Yes, she's literally crying about THIS message from Charlotte-Mecklenburg schools 👇

Over 30,000 students were absent in the Charlotte area while ICE was in town. School officials say illegal aliens have "constitutional right" to "free" education. The feds show up in a few North Carolina cities and what happens? The schools empty out. NOTTHEBEE.COM

Reminder: Charlotte, NC, is in the USA!
(At least until enough foreigners move here to change the name.)
Here's more from the Spectrum News report in Charlotte:
The Wake County Public School System reported 10% of its student body, or more than 19,000 students, were out Tuesday.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools reported over 30,000 absences on Monday. On Tuesday, that number was down slightly to 25,000.
Several teachers spoke before the CMS Board of Education Tuesday, asking the district not to act as if things are business as usual when it comes to the impact of Border Patrol presence on some families.
In addition, they are requesting guidance on how to explain immigration enforcement activity in the city to students.
Hey, if they want guidance on how to explain immigration enforcement to students, I have a great curriculum.

America is America, and wherever you're from is not. You can't just move here without applying for citizenship. Go back home.
A short, simple resource that gets straight to the point!
Tiffany Newkirk, a multilingual teacher at Pineville Elementary, agrees the statements made by the district don't fully address the fears.
'Those empty seats in my building are not just numbers. They are 5-year-olds and 8-year-olds and 10-year-olds whose families are too afraid to leave their homes,' Newkirk said.
She said students attending school are asking questions.
'Those students who have come sit in hollow classrooms asking, where are my friends? Are they okay? And I don't have answers for them, not because I'm not paying attention, but because there has been no clear guidance, no language and no support for how I should respond,' Newkirk said.
It doesn't say much for the quality of people in public education when they all panic and don't know what to say to kids unless they get guidance and instructions from some pencil-pushing administrator, does it?
Remember, kids:

The contorted face on that first one reminds me of the “Leave Barack Alone!!!” guy ...
We sure have a lot of lunatics in education
Because they are predominately leftists.
30,000 dollars x at least 6000 dollars per student=180,000,000 million dollars per year.
I think we are starting to talk real money now.
“Educators” such as this pure nitwit need “educated”. FA...FO.
30,000 students
How do you say boo hoo in Espanol?
Of course, I will have my camera rolling to watch the chaos…
“Education education” encourages emotional mental processing not thinking! Chasing one shiny object to the next!
That’s just one school district in the Eastern US.
Now extrapolate that to California, Arizona, Texas, Florida: where the heavy concentrations are.
It’s billions and billions.
All because of one idiot 5-4 decision.
“School officials say illegal aliens have “constitutional right” to “free” education.”
There is no Constitutional right to education. There is only legal “rights” as by Congress’s legislative powers and being upheld by the Supreme Court. And it is far from free.

The education establishment stopped teaching ‘civics’ in the early 70’s.
Now we know why..................

This is America.
We speak English here.
If the kids are in high school, shouldn’t they be being taught in English as well?
And if they’re being taught in Spanish, then what language are the English speaking American kids being taught in? Or are they expected to learn Spanish because of a bunch of illegals?
This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)
The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.
Looks like the few remaining students get a lot more attention and personalized education.

And even before then it was treated as a study hall rather than an instructed class. My semester in it the instructor never took role and fell asleep on occasion, so we either played cards in the back or just left and he couldn’t say anything as it would display his lack of control of the class.
And because he didn’t know who booked on him he couldn’t punish part of the class so everyone got a passing grade of “C” or better. Depended on who it was and he couldn’t just fail some or give them substandard grades to balance the curve when he didn’t know anything.
Everyone tried like crazy to get the last period of the day so they could beat the traffic out of the parking lot going out.
