Contrast this with Biden and Dems insulting MBS for the last 10 years. Partly over the puke Khashoggi affair, who was an ally of Saudi fundamentalists. MBS is the man who drove Saudi fundies out of power. He replaced those idiots.
That ABC reporterette brought up Khashoggi and Trump jumped down her throat. MBS was taken aback by her comment.
It was after Trump’s stand against that press harlot that MBS upped the ante to a trillion bucks. Respect is earned and rewarded.
EC
OIne of the first press briefing questions was how can the President meet with the Khashoggi killer.
If I had been there, There would be a reporter body on the floor.
The Reporter is a de facto American enemy
You’re doing what so many do, “rationalizing.”
Trying to “justify” the murder of a US resident, working for a US news corporation, a journalist, who dared write things the kingdom in Saudi Arabia, where they hack people apart as punishments and throw homos from roof tops, is acceptable.
It’s Saudi citizens that were mostly the culprits of 9-11, rich Saudis financing some of the most radical Madrases around the world and even Suni based terrorist groups, and Saudi Arabia is a kingdom, where women have no right, homos could get killed...
Bottom line:
“If you have enough money, it does not matter who you are or even what you once did, you’ll look pretty to us.”
We will roll the red carpet out!
“If you stand in the way of our billionaires making money, our politicians will start talking about democracy, human rights, WMD, sovereignty, or now even the cartel, you will be ugly.”
And it is, that simple.
No principals. No values. No consistency. Just money.
Our democracy and republic summarized:
—Politicians buy the voters.
—The rich oligarchs and corporations buy the politicians.
It wouldn’t be so bad, IF you had a society that had morals and was informed!!!
But, America is a country where you have very limited and low quality information about the world around us. You are blasted 24/7 by screaming and crying people on TV, radio, social media, even in the news papers, but the quality of information is horribly low and people are basically CLUELESS but have strong feelings on the topic.
You have a heterogenous society (ethnic / religious values) that is largely secular. Morals have been removed from our government and policy making. The public does not have any true expectations of its leaders being people of moral character, nor do they have any expectations that morals are consistently applied in policy making.
The arguments used by our policy makers are USUALLY post decision / action justifications for the masses, to give them a rallying cry and cause, to get them to support the decision already made and which has ulterior motives, usually economic.
