Thousands of Foreign Truck Drivers Have Already Been Removed From the Roads

Federal transportation officials have confirmed that more than 7,200 foreign truck drivers have been removed from America’s highways after failing mandatory English proficiency tests — an alarming revelation that raises serious questions about how thousands of non-English-speaking drivers were ever licensed to operate massive commercial vehicles in the first place.

According to data obtained by Breitbart News, the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has decertified thousands of commercial driver’s licenses (CDLs) after discovering widespread irregularities in the testing process, particularly in states that issued CDLs to foreign nationals. These individuals failed to demonstrate a basic understanding of English — a legal requirement designed to ensure that drivers can read road signs, communicate with law enforcement, and follow safety instructions in emergencies.

The rule has existed for decades. It’s not xenophobic or arbitrary; it’s common sense. Truck drivers are responsible for multi-ton vehicles barreling down interstates at high speeds, often hauling hazardous materials or critical goods. The inability to read or understand English isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s a deadly risk.

Yet the revelation that thousands of foreign drivers slipped through the cracks points to a deeper problem: a transportation system increasingly undermined by lax enforcement and political pressure to expand the labor pool at any cost.

For years, the trucking industry has complained about “driver shortages,” a term critics argue is misleading. The shortage, they say, isn’t a lack of available American workers but a refusal by corporations to offer wages and working conditions that attract and retain them. Instead, many companies and state licensing agencies have quietly relied on foreign nationals — often through visa programs or loosely monitored testing centers — to fill the ranks.

What’s now emerging is evidence of widespread testing fraud. Federal officials uncovered testing sites that issued licenses to non-English-speaking applicants, sometimes with the help of interpreters or fake documentation. These drivers then took to the roads, often unaware of basic signage or safety procedures, until federal audits began exposing the scale of the problem.

The FMCSA’s purge of over 7,200 drivers is just the beginning. Many industry observers believe the true number could be far higher. The agency has already referred several cases to the Department of Justice for potential criminal prosecution, suggesting that corruption and negligence may have played a role in certifying drivers who clearly failed to meet federal standards.

For everyday Americans, the implications are staggering. Trucking isn’t just another profession — it’s the backbone of the U.S. economy. Nearly every product on a store shelf, every piece of produce in a grocery bin, and every building material at a construction site got there by truck. When safety and competence on the roads are compromised, the entire supply chain — and public safety — is put at risk.

This also raises the question of national security. Border enforcement failures, visa loopholes, and inadequate vetting have already allowed hundreds of thousands of unverified individuals to enter the country. Now, some of them appear to have gained access to one of the most critical pieces of infrastructure in America — the freight system. It’s not fearmongering to say that trucking has been a soft target for those who wish to exploit weaknesses in the system.

The American trucking tradition has long been a symbol of freedom and self-reliance — a profession built by working-class patriots who kept the nation running through wars, recessions, and pandemics. These men and women didn’t need to cheat or bypass rules to do their jobs; they earned their licenses, followed the law, and respected the responsibility that came with the rig.

Today, that tradition is being diluted by bureaucratic incompetence and political cowardice. Federal regulators have known for years that fraudulent licensing networks existed, particularly in states with heavy foreign recruitment, yet took little action until the numbers became too large to ignore.

It’s worth remembering that every one of those 7,200 drivers represented not just a paperwork error but a potential tragedy waiting to happen — a truck driver unable to read a bridge clearance sign, a detour notice, or a police officer’s order.

The FMCSA deserves credit for finally enforcing its own rules. But enforcement after the fact is not justice; it’s damage control. True accountability will only come when states and federal agencies stop treating safety regulations as bureaucratic formalities and start treating them as matters of life and death.

America’s roads should not be an experiment in global labor markets. They belong to the people who built them, pay for them, and rely on them. Restoring safety and sovereignty to the trucking industry begins with restoring integrity to the licensing process — and that means putting Americans, not political convenience, back in the driver’s seat.

Every one of these stories about illegal alien drivers in Illinois needs to lead with, "The state where George Ryan went to jail because an illegal killed 6 kids in a mini-van"

Meanwhile Pritzker and Newsome continue to hand out vehicular hunting licenses to any illegal that wants one. And, these guys are in charge of handing out "Real ID" credentials.

Eventually the history books will treat this dem handout the same as popes and cardinals selling plenary indulgences.

The MAGA part of me cheers. The selfish part of me wonders how all the truck deliveries will be accomplished without enough drivers.

What are the chances the mercenaries obama brought into the country are using truck crashes as a terror tool?

US Highways Are A Public Safety & National Security Nightmare

And the foreigners make our dangerous roadways even worse. Approximately 6 to 7 million vehicle collisions occur each year in the U.S. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates around 6 million accidents annually, while other sources cite figures up to 7.3 million.

It’s way past time to shut down the 12,000 Sikh-owned trucking companies in the US.

I’d be willing to chip in on an ad hoc basis and do part-time on the easier runs if the CDL training was included. I’ll bet many other able retirees, especially veterans, would as well if they weren’t penalized on their early SS payments for earning while collecting SS. Or change the SS rules where they could get higher payments after going back to work for a while and contributing into the system again. Trucking transportation is a national security issue. We saw this during COVID.

There’s compelling evidence of widespread CDL testing fraud.
<><>Federal officials uncovered fraudulent testing sites
<><>the sites issued fraudulent licenses to non-English-speaking applicants,
<><>CDL’s were issued by dishonest DMV personnel,
<><>CDL’s went to those using stand-ins or fake documentation.
<><>The fraudulent foreign drivers then took to US roads,
<><>the fraudulently-licensed drivers inflicted dire consequences on American drivers
<><>the foreigners were unaware, and incapable, of heeding basic signage or safety procedures,
<><>federal audits exposed the widespread scale of the problem.

I watched a news report on a trucking company that fitted non Americans with a Camera and ear phone. The guy went into the testing station and his buddy sat in the car with a microphone and lap top monitoring the camera. The people being tested would be told what to answer. Several people got caught because some of the those being rested were moving in weird ways so the guy monitoring in the car could read the question. You know these cheaters are not being paid a fair wage.

A fraudulently licensed CDL holder, on a HB-1 visa from India,
who spoke and understood very little English, caused this carnage.

<><>The foreigner being tested would be told what to answer.
