The Louvre’s first female museum director hired the first female security chief and less than a year later Napoleon’s crown jewels were stolen in broad daylight while the museum was open.

The more I hear about this theft, I’m thinking it was an inside job.

Over a long career, I would say that I worked with only 3 women who were really topnotch contributors — the others just were not good at their jobs. And of those 3 good ones, 2 of them were neurotic and extremely difficult to get along with. So, over a 30 year career, I worked with just 1 woman who was both good at her job and not crazy.

A client of mine once hired a woman as the human relations manager. Met her once and could not believe that was her position. She was gone in a week.

“The theft of Napoleonic treasures in the Louvre followed a change in the display cases in 2019. Before then, the Rococo display cases had armored glass and if disturbed the treasures would drop into a safe. They were later replaced by “modern” displays with normal glass.”

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. In 2019 it was a man who decided the viewing should be “ more excessive. His name is Jean-Luc Martinez. He was President of the museum from 2013-2021.

There’s going to be quite a number of people, male & female, applying for a desirable job.

Men should possess the ability to pick a quality female. Woe to those who can’t.

Yeah Buffin was probably a DEI hire but she was explaining to management the why and asking for money to replace/upgrade the security systems.

She was looking and trying but got no support. If you’re going to hang her you need to hang some bosses along with her.
