What a childish bunch of BS. What... are these leftists three year olds? Aside from being blatant liars, to blame ‘everyone else’ in a lame attempt at dodging accountability is about THE stupidest thing they’ve said yet. But rest assured, they can always top even that. They are leftists, after all.

Any real estate investor/landlord knows that rental property does not qualify for the same type of mortgage as your primary residence.
You are required to put down a larger percentage down payment. Plus you will not qualify for as lower of a percentage interest rate.

She can claim she was not aware of the law, which MIGHT work for any normal person. HOWEVER, she is a Federal Attorney. Which means she does not have the excuse that she did not know the law. She should be fined and lose her license to practice law.

I believe your insurance costs/policy are different as well, i.e. higher cost due to higher risk.

I’ve owned three homes in my day, and NEVER committed mortgage fraud.

I guess I’m an outlier.

Good point.

Likely lied to the insurance company as well.

Says in the story posted above she saved over $18,000 in interest payments lying about the type of property it was.

It’s also riskier for the lender (bank) for rental properties as they’re likely to fall into foreclosure at a higher rate than someone’s personal home. There’s also the risk of renters trashing the place or it being somewhere like we saw in Florida where the prices collapsed due to HOA fees skyrocketing.

Look for a second indictment though of James as i believe they have her doing the same thing on another property.

With two charges... far likely she’ll take a felony hit, lose her law license, and be placed on probation.

If she hopes for “jury nullity” and to get away with it despite the evidence, after a trial and conviction she’d actually get jail time if she rolls those dice.

It was a federal grand jury that indicted her - not ‘Trump’ like the MSM is trying to spin.

She ran for office literally promising to ‘get Trump’ and now she’s complaining about the system being politically weaponized? That’s rich.

She will say that she INTENDED to live in the house when she purchased it. Then decided to rent it later.
The problem is she did it TWICE.

Worth repeating for the low info voters and the media and the dems.

The beauty of the indictment is that James being accused of exactly what she charged Trump. Lying to get a lower interest rate on a loan from a bank. This is the best example of poetic justice ever. It should be the first line in every story about the corrupt, DEI, water buffalo Tish.

People who say things like that (everybody cheats) probably lie on their income tax return and probably got a PPP loan under false pretenses.

Unfortunately, the New York State Attorney General is required to be a resident of New York. New York's Constitution states that the candidate must have lived in New York for at least five years prior to the election.

Because everyone in the US has two homes that are mortgaged. //sarc

Is anyone asking how these people, “public servants” are affording multiple homes?

Is everyone 100% accurate when reporting their income? When I ran a department that originated home equity loans I can assure you we used to confirm income through bank statements and tax returns.

Who are these people who can just make shit up on their applications without any confirmation. Oh wait...they are in the club that we will never be allowed to join.

Say that 3 times fast.

What happens then? Does she materialize out of the mirror? Because I don't want that.
