Consequently, Trump’s technical team has sought to create a loophole, according to 4 sources familiar with discussions on the matter. Turkey will remove a component from the S-400 and declare it ‘inoperable’.
It would be the anti-aircraft system equivalent of rendering a rifle inoperable by removing the bolt or taking the firing pin out of other firearms.

“Does this make sense or not?”
It does IF you read the article ...
-A safer alternative: allow allied F-35s to use Turkish bases for NATO defense without transferring jets or eroding nonproliferation standards.
Read the article and I don’t see any reason that justifies selling F-35s to Turkey.
I bet we won’t sell 35s to the ottomans unless we already are moving on to a better plan for us to retain air supremacy, or have the right back-doors embedded. only IAF would be able to bust I imagine.

Now that makes sense.
“Giving F-35s to Turkey”
We are not ‘giving’ them.
Why?
I wonder if we currently “have” an S-400’s in labs in the US to “study”. If not, I wouldn’t just want a part removed to render them inoperable, I’d like them to be loaded onto a C-5, brought to the US, and studied.
aplogies, not sure how that reposting occurred, maybe miss android needs her meds.
Erdoğan doesn’t do anything if he can’t stab someone in the back along the way. Eventually he will stab himself in the back playing that game.
I found reposts with the exact same time I was making was do to a faulty mouse.
I’m more interested in finding out if they’ve pulled all the B61’s out of Incirlik.
