That is the only way to handle this situation, along with identifying the money behind the groups that are protesting, and prosecute them.
High time. Portland has become a leftist sewer.
I just checked the home value of the place I sold back over 10 years ago.
Great location and a fantastic home on the west end of town.
400k LESS than I expected and every home near it is also priced lower than I expected.
Clearly the crime, Antifa and the lack of jobs has hit Portland hard.
REALLY glad I left!
Grok:
“ The riots and violent clashes at the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in southwest Portland, Oregon, began on June 14, 2025, when hundreds of protesters used a stop sign as a battering ram to break the facility’s front door, prompting Portland police to declare a riot and federal officers to deploy tear gas, smoke, flash grenades, and other munitions. This marked the start of nightly disturbances, often escalating into assaults on officers, property damage (including graffiti and arson attempts), doxxing of ICE personnel, and use of fireworks, rocks, and flares against the building. As of September 27, 2025, these events have continued without significant interruption for 105 days (or roughly 3.5 months), with federal agents frequently using pepper balls, tear gas, and arrests to disperse crowds blocking the driveway or attempting to storm the site.
While some demonstrations have remained peaceful during the day, the federal government and local reports describe a pattern of nightly “siege” by Antifa-affiliated groups, leading to over two dozen arrests for charges like assault on officers, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct. Portland’s progressive city council has largely avoided intervening beyond monitoring, citing free speech, while issuing land-use violation notices against ICE itself for unrelated permit issues like overnight detentions. President Trump has escalated federal presence in response, threatening National Guard deployment to quell what he calls “anarchy,” though local leaders urge de-escalation to avoid provocation. Recent incidents include a September 20 mob assault on reporters and civilians, and a September 26 surge in federal agents amid warnings of potential violence.”
105 days of riots.
Hickory shampoo time!
The rioters have been beating the crap out of independent reporters and local residents. Portland police won’t come out to assist their own citizenry.
“REALLY glad I left!”
Good job, always stay ahead of problems when it comes to living location, it’s one of the most important things in life.
Next stop- Dearborn, MI
Good for you Zathras! I am still here moved away a couple times but came back because I love Oregon. However we do not go downtown like we used to. Everyone knows to avoid it even during the day. The city is an empty shell of what it used to be.
We left a house abd 2+ acres in NW Portland in 1995...so sad to see what has happened since.
I lived in Camas across from Portland with river Columbia in between. We shopped in Portland. Moved out in 2011. How is the PDX airport area now?
Pantifa and trantifa have their tuck panties in twists.
>Full Force
Full force is at least several 50 cal machine guns mounted on a plated personnel carrier, backed up two or three Abrams M1 A1s.
No more smoke and hand to hand crap.
In the summer of 1970, the American Legion was holding their convention in Portland and the Yippies or some such decided to have a convention there at the same time. I remember that Gov. McCall had National Guardsmen stationed at some of the high schools in anticipation of rioting, but nothing happened.
Portland has been enemy occupied territory since 2020.
Bout time! My community was burned out by Antifa and BLM
9/8/20 the Almeda fire. I had an encounter with them that night in a parking lot in Rogue River Oregon after escaping the flames. It was pretty frightening.
I thought it was Poland. Turns out, it is another foriegn Country.🤣
