Edgar Vincent, the first (and, as it happens, the last) Viscount D’Abernon, once remarked that “An Englishman’s mind works best when it is almost too late.” He died in the dark days of 1941 and so did not live to observe how events seemed to corroborate his maxim.

For anyone contemplating the fate of Great Britain today, the primary question would be whether that “almost” is still justified. There are, we think, two interrelated set of problems. One is the rapid Islamification of Great Britain. The other is the triumph of political correctness, the intolerant ideology of “wokeness.” The two are interrelated because the wokeness thrives in part as an excuse for, distraction from, or lubricant of Islamification.

Currently, Muslims account for about 6.5 percent of Britain’s population. That may seem like a small number. But there are two things worth noting. First, the Muslim population is likely to double within decades, in part because of untrammeled immigration from Muslim countries, in part because of the high birth rate of Muslims in Britain.

Second, even at 6.5 percent the Muslim presence reverberates everywhere in British society. In London and many other cities Muslim women parade through the streets in burkas. There are more than 1,800 mosques across Britain. There are also more than eighty Sharia courts operating in the shadow of British law courts. “Muhammad” is far and away the most popular name for boys. More than a quarter of Muslims live in government housing. Ramadan prayers echo not only in mosques but also in such traditionally British institutions as Windsor Castle. The mayor of London is a Muslim, as is the lord mayor of Sheffield and the deputy mayor of Luton. The newly appointed British Home Secretary, in charge of immigration, policing, and national security, is Shabana Mahmood...

I have mentioned this before.

Dr. Peter Hammond did a study on how Muslims behave as a percentage of the population. A few points from that study:

The tipping point occurs once Muslims reach around 5% of a population. That’s when they cease to be quiet neighbors. They start to demand more and more. And they will include threats if they don’t get their way.

Those threats will include threats of organized violence.

The threats become real at around 10%. We see that now in the no-go parts of Paris.

This would be monstrous even if evenly applied, which it will not be. Given Labour's Parliamentary majority, it might not be stoppable. We ain't seen nuthin' yet.

Good post.

The guy reading it (me) used to love going to Dearborn, Michigan for the outdoor museum complex Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum as well as the biggest used record store around and more.

In a brief time the townspeople’s tolerance and welcoming of Muslims has turned the city into a Muslim majority city with mayor and council to go with it. And recently the Mayor said “you don’t belong here” to a normal American citizen. Testing the limits. Same as the Arabic and English wording on the Dearborn Heights police patches (since withdrawn) and the still there city council signs inside in Arabic with English.

On September 9, 2025, Dearborn Mayor Abdullah Hammoud told resident Edward “Ted” Barham, a Christian minister, that he was “not welcome here” and that the mayor would “launch a parade” the day he moved out of the city. The heated exchange occurred during a City Council meeting after Barham voiced objections to an honorary street sign for Arab American News publisher Osama Siblani.
