These idiots never learn. I've tended to give Jimmy Fallon a little slack because he's tended to be the least political of the three. But instead of learning from Kimmel and Colbert's example, he decided to stand in solidarity with both of them.

I'm through giving this guy any slack because when it was time for him to decide who mattered most to him - his customer base (including millions of Trump voters) - or his Hollywood friends, he decided it was more important to be liked by his Hollywood friends.

Kimmel and Colbert are Fallon's professional competition. Fallon could have learned from their mistakes and come out stronger. Instead he appears intent on going down just like them. What a loser.

I’m glad I pulled the plug on our TV 20 years ago!

Getting rid of Kimmel was a commercial decision. He was costing money and viewers.

Dozens of affiliates asked for him to be gone or they would be gone.

Disney decided he was toxic, because he would not apologize, and was ready to double-down.

Yep. And on top of that he may have violated FCC. He was a loose cannon at war with millions of Americans. He was enjoying rubbing salt in fresh wounds.

The real question is why the networks had made the decision to continue running shows that were losing millions of dollars, these past few years? And what’s changed?

I'll cut him some slack. I'll tell you why. Most of his viewers are liberal (or rather leftist).

His bosses probably demanded that he would support Kimmel and Colbert in solidarity.

“The real question is why the networks had made the decision to continue running shows that were losing millions of dollars, these past few years? And what’s changed?”

Because they are vile leftists who agreed with his spew and were willing to lose up to a certain amount of money to keep polluting the airwaves with it.

However, Carr’s threat jeopardized pending acquisitions/mergers, which exceeded the amount of money they were willing to lose in support of an individual leftard propagandist.

That’s true. But his ratings are terrible. They’re even lower than Kimmel’s and Colbert’s. You’d think he’d want to expand his audience. A smart business model would be to focus on non-political subject matter so that you can keep the viewers you’ve got but also expand viewership. It seems pretty common sense to me.

Fallon is just being pragmatic. He knows if he does not tow the commie party line by supporting the failed stooges Colbert and Kimmel, that he too will be “canceled” by the radical left when they are back in power. It’s a survival tactic. We’ve seen how the radleft goes after ANYONE that jumps the plantation. It’s like the Mafia, only worse. Once in, you can’t get out... alive.

It's not about ratings. He has to show that he is "one of them". He recognizes that.

That doesn’t fully explain it. After all, the networks are, above all, in the business of making money. Were they getting some sort of kick-back or subsidy to keep airing these shows that carried water for the Democrats, even though, on paper, they were losing money?

There are some who have suggested that funding these left wing shows was a form of insurance, to keep the government off their backs. It’s unclear at the moment. But there had to be some additional reason beyond simple ideology, that caused them to continue producing shows that cost them millions of dollars a year.

His ratings sucked. He was a money loser for the network but they kept him on long past his expiration date as they agreed with him. His recent actions on air would have dire consequences that would bleed over into other network shows with much financial loss. Thus, they fired him. Much like "Fredo" in the God Father. He had to go for he betrayed the family.

But it IS about the ratings. If the Kimmel and Colbert’s cancellations have demonstrated anything, it’s that. The media environment is changing, and leftwing hosts are no longer immune from market realities. Fallon apparently doesn’t recognize that.

USAID money paid the bills. Now that it is cut out, they can’t afford the propaganda anymore.

What is even stupider is that all the late night shows were also good places for actors to talk about their new movies, musicians to talk up their new music, and other entertainment stuff.

Instead they were totally political and lost their way. Now late night is dead and they don’t have the outlets they used to to push thie movies, music, and other stuff.
