I agree, but the murder of Kirk is fundamentally an attack on the 1st Amendment - freedom of assembly, speech and religion.
We are burying our brother because his inalienable rights were violently taken from him in real-time, in front of thousands and reverberating through millions of our youth. The crack of a rifle sent a clear message to an entire generation: if you speak out you die. This cannot stand. We cannot allow the young people of this world to be silenced and cowed by fear. Our God-given rights are stronger than steel.
Charlie Kirk stood firmly on the 1st Amendment as he became a foot soldier for Christ and gathered an army of believers behind him. If the 1st Amendment cannot be affirmed and held sacred by all, for all, all the time, everywhere, only then does the 2nd come into play and I hope to God that never happens. We parents and grandparents, aunts and uncles, must uplift our youth and use our voices to drown out any political critter, educator or pundit, anyone who tries to spin this horiffic murder into yet another gun control straw man. We are all Charlie now.
