Leading Report @LeadingReport BREAKING: Texas A&M student kicked out of class for objecting a lesson about transgenderism.
Texas State Rep. Brian Harrison is now referring Texas A&M to the Trump administration for investigation and is calling on Gov. Greg Abbott to fire the officials involved.
A&M President tells the student firing the professor is “not happening.”
Um, no. That is inaccurate.
The quote below followed your quote IMMEDIATELY:
“...and now is the time to do so.”
I hope that the TAM is properly dealt with, but my other hand remains quite full.
This faggotry stuff has run amuck!!
Not that I’m surprised this is about aggie land. Those arrogant aholes fit the bill for that kind of thing.
What’s key is that the students were being taught something that was not in the course description. How many students do you think would have chosen to take this course if they knew that content before hand?
Universities are not real big on freedom of speech.
Looks like she got some results!

The teacher expressed her honest opinion.
Both are entitled to their honest opinions and were right to express them forthrighty, and their opinions should be respected, acknowledged, and considered honestly, though not necessarily accepted.
What's wrong here is that the student should not have been asked to leave the class.
She should not be penalized or criticized for her opinion or for expressing it, nor should the teacher be criticized for expressing hers.
The quest for truth--truth for its own sake--and the free exchange of ideas which a sine qua non for that quest are the foundation of Western Civilization and all its countless, priceless blessings, including the wonders of science.
No one who does not understand this, respect it, and wholeheartedly support and encourage it should be in a position of teaching.
The teacher should welcome ideas contrary to her own. She should revel in ideas that challenge dogma. An intelligent, truth-seeking instructor will.
All students should be encouraged to express their honest opinions.
The quest for truth is asymptotic. We can grow closer and closer to it in our quest but perhaps never reach it. The free exchange of ideas is essential to discoveries that bring us ever closer to it.
Contempt for truth is the evil most fundamental to the decadence of Western Civilization and interference with the free exchange of ideas is its enabler.
Not enough, remove them from the payroll.

And what about the teacher, she needs to have her butt shown the door also. These people need to be fired including the university president.
The president sounded like he had an upper hand and could use such a tone with her. He mentioned firing in his questioning. She said yes.
Thanks for the link. The way I read the article is President Welch got a talking to by Chancellor Hegar. Hegar is in charge of the A&M system. Hegar’s X post came out at 7 PM while Welch changed his tune at 10 PM ..
I guess there’s gonna be two or more folks leaving then
The word that got me was the student saying “Illegal” - clearly not against the law, but yeah, a great way to end a career, at least in Texas.
Probably algebra class as well. Just a priest of baal ranting to a captive audience.
What you say is true they can’say whatever they want according to that amendment however, you don’t do it on your employers dock or their time or their property if they don’t want you to
otherwise it’s goodbye Charley
I’d like to read that description
Nothing wrong with having an opinion
it’s when you start teaching your opinion instead of the syllabus that you get in trouble
Exactly, thanks!
