My company ships several dozen loads per week. Especially after Covid, 70% of calls from freight agents/brokers we receive soliciting business are South Asian. For the brokers especially, I doubt they are even based in the USA. They are coming from call centers in India.
Speaking with our warehouse guys, the number of South Asian drivers (and Africans also) has really shot up in the last 5 years. FJB’s marxist handlers flooded the entry-level job market in all areas.
The pattern is simple - one Indian gets to the USA. He may drive or get enough money to buy a rig. He then brings a cousin from his village to drive to live in the cab and work in indentured servitude, while he focuses on the next rig. Wash, rinse, repeat.
