I respectfully disagree. In a way they did win. They made it clear that anyone challenging the deep state like Trump did will be lawfared into bankruptcy and maybe prison (unless that person is wealthy like Trump). So they winnowed down who would challenge them in the future.

Old style communism was all about Class War.
In America, they shifted to a Race War (we don’t really have classes as Marx used the term).
But it’s always against nationalism and in favor of globalism. Trump is a nationalist, so the communists sent the blacks out to take him down.

The biggest casualty is the system of justice. How can anyone have confidence in the justice system in the US, other than partisan Democrats, after seeing how partisan it is in practice, not only against Trump but against others as well?
