A federal judge on Friday blocked President Trump’s birthright citizenship order in a third ruling since the Supreme Court restricted nationwide injunctions.
US District Judge Leo Sorokin, an Obama appointee, blocked President Trump’s executive order nationwide.
Sorokin’s ruling comes after another district court and a three-judge panel on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled against Trump’s birthright citizenship order.
The US Supreme Court recently restricted lower courts from issuing nationwide injunctions.

They’re like spoiled brats.
Never having been told *No* they just continue figuring they’ll outlast and wear out their opponent.
They need to be dealt with, removed from position if possible for refusing to follow the USSC ruling.
The census counts persons.
Illegals are persons.
Just stop it.
Enough already! If the judges are going to ignore Supreme Court rulings, then Trump just needs to ignore the idiot judges! Let the judges CHOKE on their illegal rulings. They’re making fools out of the administration.

The administration should refuse to comply with any lower court judgements that are not in compliance with Supreme Court decisions.
Citizens not persons
Yeah, I don’t get it. Trump should simply declare that based on the Supremes rulings those orders don’t apply.
“Citizens not persons”
The Constitution specifies “persons” for counting in the census.
Sorokin Schmorokin
Back then it meant citizens. Remember the 3/5 fight?

“ removed from position if possible for refusing to follow the USSC ruling.”
They ARE following the USSC ruling.
District courts are allowed to issue national injunctions when dealing with a class action. That is EXACTLY what the USSC said in the recent decision everyone here is misquoting.
Slaves were counted as persons.
I disagree with the decision, but since several states were the ones bringing suit the nationwide injunction is legit and does not violate the Supreme Court’s order.
What law did he break?
Only 3/5ths
Nope. The suit was brought by several states which meets the exception for the ban on nationwide exemptions.
They did not ban nationwide injunctions in any and all cases.
“Under the jurisdiction” is not what it says.
It says, “SUBJECT TO the jurisdiction”
The 3/5 limitation was to reduce Southern representation in the House, and it is applied to PERSONS held to a term of service.
Your parents are to be commended!
