“ Israel bombed s Catholic church in the Gaza Strip, on Thursday, July 17, 2025”
Liar.
An Israeli tank fired on Hamas HQ, located on land stolen from the Catholic Church and located near the church to discourage Israeli bombing.
The shell shanked and hit the church instead of the intended target. A handyman and a janitor were killed. The lone priest was slightly injured. The building was otherwise empty due to most Christians being killed or expelled from Gaza by Hamas.
While this was a terrible accident, the fault lies squarely on Hamas who used the church and its members as human shields.
Thank you.
Liars need to be called out.

Using leaf blowers to control brush fires is SOP. I’ve done the same in West Texas. You can push the fire to a spot where it won’t spread.
See TTR’s post about two above mine, which sets out the facts.
There’s a video of the shot floating around, I’ll try to find.
I believe the Mercava is a smooth bore barrel, for reasons unknown to me. But, for whatever reason, the shell arced off to the side pretty bad.
Found out why it’s smooth bore. Apparently to accept Western 120mm shells, which have advantages and some disadvantages (like sometimes having a mind of their own).

Why dont you all go perform an anatomical impossibility with yourself, jerks.
Christians, call Congress, now.
Message: Americans w/ shrinking paychecks, robbed week after week to fund SS, now face the possibility of a depleted fund. But the govt has billions for parasitic foreign bombers, cravenly saying, with dollar signs in their eyes, they are “our greatest ally.” No more money for Israelis bombing Catholic churches and attacking Christians.

After tossing Jewish voters overboard to accommodate the Hamas supporters of Dearborn, Michigan, the Democrats are starting to get nervous about the choice they made.
Despite the roll-out of the campaign, beginning with Senator Schumer’s floor speech blasting Israel, and various liberal Jewish surrogates, including Rep. Jerry Nadler, vocally opposing the campaign against Hamas, the Democrats did not manage to sell Jews on Biden’s betrayal.
Biden’s declaration that he would stop providing military support to Israel if it continued to pursue Hamas into Rafah touched off a major backlash from donors, like Haim Saban, from celebrities, like Michael Rappaport, who has said he could vote for Trump, and ordinary Jews.
While there’s no accurate polling of Jewish voters because there are too few Jews in much of the country to be captured by conventional polls and polls specifically surveying Jews are usually run by leftist groups, Democrats have suddenly begun to sweat the Jewish vote.

Approximately 1.8 million Jewish adults, just under one-third
of the total Jewish electorate, live in twenty-five Democrat congressional districts.
National Profile of the Jewish Electorate, May 2020
Of the top twenty-five districts by Jewish population, nearly half are in New York — NY10, NY-3, NY-12, NY-17, NY4, NY-9, NY-6, NY-8, and NY11.
The remaining districts with Jewish populations are found in seven states including Florida, California, Illinois, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. FL-21 has the greatest number of Jewish adults at 152,000.
With the exception of NJ-4, these districts are represented by Democrats and all but two (NJ-4 and NJ-5) are Democratic-leaning districts.

A new study argues that the large majority of American Jews have a deep-seated notion that being Jewish is inextricably bound to being liberal.
That idea took hold after the large waves of Jewish immigration to the US in the late 19th century, according to the study’s author, American history professor Gil Troy.
American Jewish liberalism and association with the Democratic party is showing no signs of abatement, despite many predictions to the contrary since Ronald Reagan’s presidency, according to Troy’s research, which is being published by the Ruderman Family Foundation’s Program for American Jewish Studies at the University of Haifa.

US envoy: I did not blame Jews for Taybeh fire July 22, 2025
Following Israel Hayom's publication of definitive video proof showing an intact Taybeh church, police confirmed no fire damage occurred to the holy site, prompting Ambassador Mike Huckabee to publicly clarify he never accused Jewish residents of arson.
After Israel Hayom revealed video evidence proving no fire damage occurred at the Saint George Church in Taybeh and the Israel Police confirming this, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee issued a public clarifications saying the media did not properly convey his comments on the event.
Israeli police released an official statement Tuesday confirming the findings after Israel Hayom published video documentation showing the church remained completely undamaged by a nearby fire. The police statement directly contradicted earlier reports that had circulated across various media outlets.
Israel Police stated: "Contrary to misleading reports, no damage was caused to the Church of Saint George in Taybeh. The fire was limited to an adjacent open area, not the holy site. Emergency services received reports from local residents, including both Israelis and one Palestinian caller. The District Commander has initiated a thorough investigation. If arson is confirmed, justice will be pursued regardless of race or background. Due process is based on facts, not headlines."
Ambassador Huckabee visited the location Saturday to assess the situation firsthand and express sadness over the incident. On Monday, the ambassador posted on X on Monday to clarify he did not assign blame to Jewish settlers: "Investigation reveals no damage to ancient church in Taybeh & investigation of origin of fire continues. I have NOT attributed the cause of fire to any person or group as we don't know for sure. The press has. I have said that regardless, it was crime & deserves consequences."
Sucker.
There is widespread hunger in Gaza, which has worsened
considerably in recent months due to Israel’s official policies.
There’s Catastrophic food insecurity: According to the IPC, the global standard for measuring food insecurity, 470,000 people are facing catastrophic hunger, with the entire population of 2.23 million facing high levels of acute food insecurity.
Starvation and malnutrition deaths escalate: The Palestinian Health Ministry reported 43 deaths due to hunger in the five days leading up to July 23, 2025. As of July 26, 2025, 127 Palestinians have died from malnutrition since the conflict began in October 2023, 85 of whom were children.
Children are particularly vulnerable: Over 1 million children in Gaza are at risk of starvation, according to the U.N. Palestinian agency, UNRWA. Acute malnutrition rates among children have more than doubled in recent months, with 9% of children under 5 now suffering from severe malnutrition.
Gaza Hospitals are overwhelmed: and are continued targets if Israeli bombings. Hospitals are overflowing with malnourished patients, reaching their “breaking point” with 94% damaged or destroyed due to the conflict. Doctors are reportedly fainting from hunger while trying to treat patients.
Israel creating Dangerous conditions for aid seekers: Over 1,000 Palestinians have died trying to access food in recent weeks. Distribution sites, some controlled by the military, have become increasingly dangerous, with reports of shootings and stampedes resulting in mass casualties.
Aid restrictions and distribution challenges: International calls are growing for Israel to end the restrictions on aid distribution, which some experts allege violate international humanitarian law. Distribution is further hampered by security impediments and a breakdown in law and order. Israel maintains the restrictions are necessary to prevent Hamas from diverting aid.
The situation is dire, with many organizations describing it as a looming famine.
Israel denies the existence of starvation but witness accounts and data from humanitarian groups paint a grim picture of a population struggling for survival amidst severe food shortages, violence, and restricted access to aid.
Since Israel prevents the limited resumption of humanitarian assistance into Gaza on 19 May, the World Food Programme (WFP) has only been able to bring in small amounts of life-saving food.
A desperate humanitarian crisis what to Israel is allowing happen in Gaza. Children suffering from severe malnutrition as 470,000 people face mass starvation. The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached crisis proportions...
Israel’s military “emphasizes that combat operations have not ceased” in Gaza against Hamas, and it has asserted there is “no starvation” in the territory.
Yet Gazans starve to death as aid agencies warn Israel’s threatened “airdrops” won’t alleviate crisis.
Jerk.
Recent reports conform with pictures indicate that Israeli forces have struck churches in Gaza.
Israeli officials, anxious to keep its Christian financing intact, have stated that “they do not deliberately target churches or religious sites” and even “expressed regret” for any harm its bombing caused to Christian civilians.
Some have charged Israel with committed “crimes against humanity,” of “extermination” by attacking Palestinian civilians sheltering in religious sites and schools in Gaza.
Following a strike on the Roman Catholic Holy Family Church in July 2025, which killed three people, CNN reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) facetiously “acknowledged hitting the church mistakenly”.
Israeli officials have stated that they “do not deliberately target churches or religious sites” and even expressed “regret” for any harm caused to Christian civilians.
Israel bombed the Holy Family Church July 2025, which killed three people, CNN reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) acknowledged hitting the church “mistakenly”. A later Israeli investigation of itself naturally concluded that the strike resulted from an “unintentional deviation of munitions during military operations.”
The IDF claims it takes “feasible precautions” to mitigate civilian harm and directs military strikes solely at military targets.
They have also accused Hamas of using religious sites for cover and launching attacks, which Hamas categorically denies.
The Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem and other church leaders have condemned the strikes on churches, emphasizing the sanctity of religious sites and the need to protect civilians.
Pope Leo XIV and other international figures have called for an immediate ceasefire and expressed deep sadness over the loss of life and injury caused by the attacks.
An independent United Nations commission report has stated that Israel has committed “crime against humanity” of “extermination” by attacking Palestinian civilians sheltering in religious sites and schools in Gaza.
International humanitarian law prohibits targeting religious buildings during conflict unless they are being used for military purposes.
Israel naturally investigated itself and came up with a rigorous defense of itself.
