I have been meaning to write about the Jeffrey Epstein situation, which I think has become an unfortunate distraction. Thus, the New York Times headlines, “Trump’s base is in open revolt over the Epstein case.” This delights them.
In my opinion, while Epstein was obviously a horrific person and was at one time well-connected, the political dimensions of the scandal have been absurdly overblown. Current demands for a release of the “Epstein files,” which can only mean the investigative files prepared by law enforcement, are misguided. Raw criminal investigation files are never released publicly, for excellent reasons.
Any release of materials at this point could only be highly selective and would be improper even on that basis. And selective releases could never satisfy the conspiracy theorists, and would only fuel demands for more. So President Trump is right. It is time to move on.

It's one of the top three reasons he got elected.
The Epstein case involved a Deep State/DOJ coverup. It involves rich and powerful men that have gotten away with raping underage girls. And, according to Trump, the FBI altered files pertaining the Epstein case.
The corruption involved in this case needs to be cleaned up. At least some of the men guilty of raping underage girls need to be pursued and brought to justice.
I don’t find it hard to believe that over the years of her relationship with Epstein she brought home dozens of young girls for him.
“But now they are saying there was no crime?”
They aren’t saying there was no crime.
What they are saying is that Epstein Island was not a CIA/Mossad operation to entrap or blackmail foriegn heads of state or US opposition party politicians.
And if it wasn’t a blackmail operation, there would be no point in Epstein keeping a list or preserving evidence of pedophilia.
Quite the contrary - if it was not blackmail, but simply a service for rich and powerful pedophiles, the whole point of flying to a private island was the privacy - NOT being on a list, and NOT being recorded or identified.
The only evidence I would expect might exist would be the testimony of underaged girls who were abused, or testimony of any others who witnessed a crime.
As for contact lists, passenger lists or guest lists - they would be entirely meaningless because it’s not a crime to have been there.
I think with regard to this “Epstein list”, MAGA influencers were victims of their own vivid imaginations - and some of them joined team Trump and over promised.
Now they are embarrassed and need to be let off the hook before MAGA implodes. Arguing about this only helps the Democrats.
there are two open cases by unknown accusers naming unknown clients
whole thing is sealed
It is NOT a shiny extraction. It is NOT a hoax.
Black admitted his funds were used to partially fund Epstein’s Lolita Island.
Now, is this a case of Epstein providing 170 million worth of legit services and then Epstein went and funded criminal activity?
Or was this money laundering?
Or was this a blackmail payout?
Or something else.
To turn a blind eye and say his supporters are stupid and it’s all a hoax is some bombastic BS.
Wyden alleges that he has also laid eyes on other documents — now in possession of the Trump Treasury Department — that “contain extensive information on the extent to which high-profile individuals paid Epstein staggering sums of money,
Undoubtedly true....
which was then used to move women around the world....
First stop. Money is fungible and can be used for all sorts of things unknown/unintended by those who provided it. Just because people gave money to Epstein (who was an investment guy so that's what you'd normally do anyway) that he subsequently used to move women does NOT mean that those people knew he was doing that.
For example, if I paid some guy named JR to roof my house, and he then went out and bought meth with my money that he then sold to others, you could truthfully say, "BCC provided money to JR who then used it to deal meth" even if i had no idea what he was doing with it. So the precise wording is everything.
...or engage in dubious transactions indicative of money laundering.”
Again, same thing. The wording it so loose that it could be describing an actual money laundering operation, or not. "Dubious transactions indicative of money laundering" isn't the same as actual money laundering.
Black has been investigated on multiple occasions, including by the Dems in 2023. But they didn't come up with anything useful. So to the extent Wyden says he has something...it apparently isn't as much as he thinks because even his own committee and the Biden Administration didn't do anything with it.
this guy was a financier for arms dealers. He was involved in Iran Contra. An israeli spy involved with Iran Contra said Epstein was a spy.
Even if Epstein was not part of an intelligence honeypot operation (israeli spy said he was) it does not make sense that he would just ignore all the people that came to his island and their sexual perversions.
Think J Edgar Hoover files.
Of course, Epstein was going to keep information in case he could use it later on for some purpose whether it be an arms deal or blackmailing someone to get what he wanted.

how many girls were there? do we know?
Just saw the Bee’s latest video on this. One of the all time best. Nails it again.
I’m still Trump. Don’t understand why he has taken this position, but I support him as this plays out. However, the attitudes of many on this forum that potential child abuse and rape by our representatives and government officials is not important, is pathetic.
The investigation is ongoing and the last letters ARE part of the 2023 investigation.
Agree. 100%
This!^^^
There are plenty of things Trump has said where I think he should have done exactly that, and he never has. So I think expecting a mea culpa from Trump is kind of like expecting blood from a stone. Ain't happening.
...and Pam Bondi does the same?
That's possible. But she may really have a tightrope to walk and may decide there isn't a route to making things better.
do you have an example of the post that says this is not important?
Acting like frenzied Hutu’s. Pretty scary to give them ANY names, especially people who might be innocent,...
Agreed!
So then what is Wyden complaining about?
Prince Andrew was one of the top men / perpetual clients at Epstein's brothel, convincingly linked to a 17-year-old Virginia Giuffre (RIP). What punishment did he receive? NADA.
You think it would be any different for anyone else on any listze? Oooh, Randy Andy couldn't be seen at Ascot in the Royal Procession last month, but guess what? He held a full-dress luncheon for Ascot participants at Windsor Castle the day before the opener.
You FReeptards are clutching fake pearls hoping to make diamonds, which amounts solely to classic FReeptard behaviour about tantruming things out of their control or even their purview.
