I have been meaning to write about the Jeffrey Epstein situation, which I think has become an unfortunate distraction. Thus, the New York Times headlines, “Trump’s base is in open revolt over the Epstein case.” This delights them.
In my opinion, while Epstein was obviously a horrific person and was at one time well-connected, the political dimensions of the scandal have been absurdly overblown. Current demands for a release of the “Epstein files,” which can only mean the investigative files prepared by law enforcement, are misguided. Raw criminal investigation files are never released publicly, for excellent reasons.
Any release of materials at this point could only be highly selective and would be improper even on that basis. And selective releases could never satisfy the conspiracy theorists, and would only fuel demands for more. So President Trump is right. It is time to move on.

The mob calling for Trump’s head on this forum the last few days has been very disappointing.
The "excellent reasons" are that Americans have been subject to centralized, statist control for at least 3 generations already. We expect to be lied to, and we accept excuses for secrecy of everything. We have also lost most of our moral perspective and certainly, our independence.
When Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, everything was investigated, released, and the sentences were carried out within 7 weeks.
Then again, John Wilkes Booth and Mary Surratt were not on the payroll of other government organizations.
Hillary will never be held accountable for her crimes on this earth. Epstein prosecution is pointless. If you’re a leftard, you will skate.
If your brain is too small to handle a single distraction, then maybe you need to study harder and get smarter. Those of us who can handle more than one thought at a time do not consider this to be a distraction, but rather an important moment when the rich and powerful might FINALLY face consequences for their most horrible actions.

Someone is in prison for running a child sex ring for very wealthy folks.
The guy behind it died suspiciously in jail custody.
Young women have spoken up about what happened to them.
But, we don’t have a single name of the Adults that committed the horrific crimes.
Or a list of payments.
Or a list of passengers.
And it’s all gonna just go away, like every other criminal act of the well-connected.

“investigator” or “law enforcement” reports can be (and ESPECIALLY if any politics or valuable property/money is in view) faked and frankly, faked royally.
in this case, with both corrupting factors involved, almost guaranteed to be highly unreliable. besides, it is past.
suggest we spend the time and energy demanding a (real) investigation of some of the current known problematic agents, influencers, corrupters, whatever...especially the anti-American ones (SorozNazi and his evil scions? Qatar, CAIR? and their front groups...hundreds of groups...will give entire careers to any honest investigators...)

Andrew Branca has been making a lot of sense on this topic for the past week or so, starting with the point that we can be certain that there is nothing in the investigative file that implicates Trump or any of his more prominent supporters, snce the DOJ under Biden would certainly have leaked that while they had control of the file.
His other point is that if there isn’t sufficient evidence in the file to support prosecution, it would be beyond unusual to release that investigative information to the public. Victim information, others caught up in the investigation as witnesses or potential suspects but without sufficient evidence, none of that stuff is ever released to the public, nor should it be.
That said, I can’t shake the idea that there’s got to be more to the story — like how did JE induce Leslie Wexner to give him a $50MM house in Manhattan. Surely there’s a story there.k And how did he support his lavish lifestyle, and how did he manage to portray himself as an exclusive financial manager for so many years?
There’s a lot of smoke, but maybe not the exact fire that we’ve all been thinking for so many years.
Tell me one scandal like this that ever went anywhere. Not counting Watergate which was a District of Corruption Three Ring Circus from the beginning. Everybody gets all huffy and the whole thing just fizzles out. The only “takeaway” is, NOBODY EVER GOES TO JAIL EXCEPT A GOPer with chrummy lawyers. Nothing is ever cut and dried in these scandals.
But now they are saying there was no crime? So why not release something?
This is such a dodge. There is a huge difference between releasing unredacted criminal files, and a total coverup.
The US Public, Alternative-media, and eventually, the US Congress and "white hate" elements within the bloated Fed.gov bureaucracy, were able to figure out the CIA-approved Steele Dossier was fake.
The notion that "fake documents" would remain undetected is a flimsy excuse.

Really? Our FBI is incapable of distinguishing fakes from reality? Then maybe they're no longer very useful or worthy of our support.
No choice now but to try to make the whole thing go away, no matter how suspicious it looks.
That's ridiculous and laughable. Even if you can't trust the in/competence of the FBI, the Epstein Victim's Fund has doled out $120m to 150 recipients so far. Use THOSE records, since they've been vetted and verified by those in the know, and they've felt sure enough about each claim to have given out almost 7 figures to most of them. That's good enough for us.

The mob defending Trump’s Epstein coverup on this forum the last few days has been very disappointing.
1) There has clearly been a coverup for years on this issue. We told no video existed of Epstein's cell. Then, we get one with a one to three minutes missing (depending one what source one believes).
2) Gisselle Maxwell is in prison for sex trafficking underage girls. No sane person believe Epstein was the only abusing them. That means there are dozens of rape victims and dozens of rich, powerful men that got with raping then, including Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew and Bill Gates. That is an outrage and example of a two-tiered justice system.
3) If files have been altered, then we need evidence of that presented to the public and effort to bring those responsible to justice.
