Zohran Mamdani is the firm favorite to win the 2025 New York mayoral race after he declared victory over Andrew Cuomo in the Democratic primary on Tuesday, according to the betting website Polymarket.
As of 6 a.m. ET on Wednesday, Mamdani had a 73.6 percent chance of winning the election in November. He was followed by incumbent Mayor Eric Adams on 19.4 percent, and Cuomo on 4.9 percent.
Newsweek contacted Mamdani, Cuomo and Adams for comment outside of regular workings hours.

Maybe Sliwa should drop out and get behind Adams, just as Republicans and various Democrat factions united to oust East Harlem’s Communist Congressman, Rep. Vito Marcantonio (R-NY).
Well I trust those polls about as much as the average politician ~ ZERO. Things will change for the better
but the brown stuff has to hit the circling blades 1st!
STAND BACK
EVERYONE MUST GET BEHIND ERIC ADAMS. I cannot believe I am saying this. Businesses will leave in droves. He will defund the police and make it a third world Muslim City. My home state. It makes me cry. As a New Yorker and as a Jew.
I would be curious to see how he’d fund a city-run grocery store operation. Financially, the city probably would collapse within two years. No bank is going to offer to cover credit...unless there’s some massive pay-off.
That is the point.
At ground zero
How many of NYC’s JINO’s voted for the Jew hater? No, not Cuomo, though he does belong to the party of Jew haters.
Leftism is a suicide cult. Jewish leftism doubly so.
The **** with NYC and all of the societal degenerates and LIB nitwits who “live” there.
My older son, a union carpenter in NYC, was fully employed for almost all of President Trump’s first term, until the advent of the COVID fiasco. He was among the union unemployed for most of the Biden term and took what work he could find to get by. While he was out of work he also took shop steward training. Since each job needs a shop steward it increases his probability of working. His work opportunities restarted shortly after Inauguration Day and have been steady ever since.
But if the Muslim commie wins and companies resume fleeing from NYC, all bets are off.
Waste of vote. The GOP should support Eric Adams.
