The same thing happened a few weeks ago a farmer's market in Lakeland, Fla., where she was run off by the leftist Karens running the event. The next week, a crowd wearing red MAGA hats showed up at the market.
I just saw this on that stupid Next Door app. What gives? Short on details.
Get a load of the info at this link...
Seems to me like Bennet has a civil rights case here...
Paging the DoJ.
Note to the fuzz in that neck of the woods, here’s a refresher...

As I see it, the problem here is not with the lefties who run the farmer’s market. It’s with the police.
Here’s the way it should have gone:
Leftie: I want her removed from the market.
Cop: It’s public property. So, no.
Disclaimer: This assumes Bennet was talking to passersby without harassing them. If folks want to be left alone, leave ‘em alone.
Maybe the organizers just want to keep ONE event free from politics so people can enjoy themselves? I go to a lot of Farmers’ Markets in CA, WA and ID and do not see any political crap. Thank goodness.
Trespass on a public area? Definite constitutional violation. She needs a full time constitutional lawyer.
You don’t the have the right to not be annoyed but you do have the right to ignore and not engage.
I’m pretty sure she wasn’t politicking or shoving her mic into people’s faces. If so, the organizers would have a case. She was probably doing the sort of voluntary interviews that her channel features.
One thing we learned from Covid is that most police will unquestioningly follow orders no matter how wrong or unconstitutional.
Agreed. The mostly benign atmosphere of your typical Farmer’s Market is not the place to introduce this as a public conversation. That’s kind of hijacking the event.
There are more appropriate venues for political talk no matter what your opinion is. We wouldn’t want to visit a weekend market, and have it invaded by those promoting Rainbow or Trans propaganda.
The city’s statement said “a selectively edited version of the footage was later released publicly.”
Lakeland said the officers asked Bennett to remain on the sidewalk to avoid disrupting market vendors. The city said that no one was trespassed from the farmers market.
“The City of Lakeland fully supports the First Amendment rights of all individuals and does not discriminate based on the content or viewpoint of anyone’s speech,” reads the city’s statement. “The Lakeland Police Department remains committed to responding to all service calls and will continue to enforce all applicable City ordinances and State Laws.”
Support the Blue.
I agree it would be nice to escape political controversy in a public venue, even if only for a brief time ... but there’s simply too much “look-at-me-standing-up-for-what-I-believe-in” by people desperate for attention at every possible opportunity for that to happen. It’s just a result of the instant-information age we live in, and so we must adapt or go nuts trying to avoid it! Cheers!
“One thing we learned from Covid is that most police will unquestioningly follow orders no matter how wrong or unconstitutional.”
One thing MOST people learn is to not unquestioningly believe articles at face value ...
It looks like she was accosting people and being disruptive.
“The mostly benign atmosphere of your typical Farmer’s Market is not the place to introduce this as a public conversation.”
That’s an opinion; not the law. If even one passer-by became informed about the truth it would be worth it.
“There are more appropriate venues for political talk no matter what your opinion is.”
Maybe. Again ... an opinion; not the law.
“We wouldn’t want to visit a weekend market, and have it invaded by those promoting Rainbow or Trans propaganda.”
It would be offensive, but their right. Ignore them or point and laugh.
What if Paul had avoided going to places where sinners might be annoyed or offended?

“We wouldn’t want to visit a weekend market, and have it invaded by those promoting Rainbow or Trans propaganda.”
IMO.. There is just WAAAY too much of this.
Like it or not in PUBLIC spaces..
The Public has the RIGHT to be an ass.
Regardless as to the content, in a PUBLIC space, you do NOT have a right to NOT be offended.
In these scenarios. There ARE options. The event organizers can do their events in a PRIVATE space. OR, Many times rent out public space for private use (e.g. rent out and rope off a section of a park for a wedding). And then they can control people entering or their behaviour.
Most of what you find in a “farmers market” is the same boxed produce they sell to the grocery chains.
If all they wanted was a farmer's market free from politics, they will be getting the opposite--as happened in Lakeland, where after Kaitlin was banned, a bunch of activists in red hats showed up at the next farmer's market.
