Maybe the organizers just want to keep ONE event free from politics so people can enjoy themselves? I go to a lot of Farmers’ Markets in CA, WA and ID and do not see any political crap. Thank goodness.
You don’t the have the right to not be annoyed but you do have the right to ignore and not engage.
I’m pretty sure she wasn’t politicking or shoving her mic into people’s faces. If so, the organizers would have a case. She was probably doing the sort of voluntary interviews that her channel features.
Agreed. The mostly benign atmosphere of your typical Farmer’s Market is not the place to introduce this as a public conversation. That’s kind of hijacking the event.
There are more appropriate venues for political talk no matter what your opinion is. We wouldn’t want to visit a weekend market, and have it invaded by those promoting Rainbow or Trans propaganda.
I agree it would be nice to escape political controversy in a public venue, even if only for a brief time ... but there’s simply too much “look-at-me-standing-up-for-what-I-believe-in” by people desperate for attention at every possible opportunity for that to happen. It’s just a result of the instant-information age we live in, and so we must adapt or go nuts trying to avoid it! Cheers!
