I cannot underscore this point enough, Trump WON ninety per cent of the counties and yet we ended up with a measly House majority.
Why did Trump not have coattails?

But in down ballot races, candidates were too TIMID and too STUPID to make it an issue.
Republican candidates should have DEMANDED that their opponents come out of hiding on that issue and either support or reject Harris on that issue.
Trump made hay on the issues that voters care about.
Down ballot Republicans was just looking not make enemies and not stir up the media.
Because STUPID candidates did not grab a hold of coattails.
Wrongo! It's because Democrats control the vote counting. I would add that Trump raiding Congress for his Administration had its damaging effects as well. Nor is he now making a big deal out of selecting candidates for the midterms.

I think there are too many voters that vote on single issues with their emotions rather than well thought out logic. I’d say women voters out number the men in this.
But this is too early to judge what will happen in midterms. Most predictions are worthless, and I hope this is one of them.
Members of Congress sadly in both parties have a way of becoming millionaires during their time in Washington. While members of Congress are relatively well paid and have many perks, their Congressional pay certainly wouldn’t allow them to become millionaires. It is particularly disturbing that members of Congress who entered Congress with no particular big assets or owning a company, like Bernie Sanders or AOC, now report millions in assists after a few terms. If Trump were truly to drain the swamp, start by mandating full public financial disclosures for all members of Congress and imposing strict measures to prevent insider trading of stocks by not only the member of Congress, but their family and surrogates.

Speaking for myself, I am glad the GOP is playing their usual games while in the majority. I am done voting. And no one is talking me out of it. And I will actively tell others they should do the same if they want things to change.

That is a 90/10 issue and EVERY Democrat congressional candidate should have had to make his or her position on it public.

I think Trump won counties on that issue and I think the Republican wing of the uniparty lost races by not politically exploiting it.

The people counting the votes in 90 per cent of the counties Trump won were the same people counting the votes for Trump as they were for the congressional candidates weren’t they?

I was in the proximity of several local congressional races.
The Republican candidates did not have the BALLS to call out the Democrats on those issues.
