President Donald Trump is reportedly set to receive a lavish Boeing 747-8 jumbo jet from Qatar’s royal family.
The nearly brand-new aircraft, originally commissioned by Qatari royals, will be temporarily used as Air Force One during Trump’s second term and then donated to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation upon the conclusion of his presidency, according to sources familiar with the arrangement who spoke to ABC News.
The aircraft, which has flown only a handful of times, is estimated to be worth upwards of $400 million and features gold-plated fixtures, private suites, and luxury lounges fit for royalty.
President Trump reportedly toured the jet in February at Palm Beach International Airport and expressed keen interest in its potential as a presidential aircraft.
This unprecedented arrangement — believed to be the most valuable foreign gift ever extended to the United States — has already triggered a meltdown on the Left.
Rasking wrote, “Trump must seek Congress’ consent to take this $300 million gift from Qatar. The Constitution is perfectly clear: no present “of any kind whatever” from a foreign state without Congressional permission. A gift you use for four years and then deposit in your library is still a gift (and a grift).”
Of course, Raskin conveniently ignores key facts and legal precedent.
According to ABC, Trump’s legal team — including White House Counsel David Warrington and Attorney General Pam Bondi — proactively sought clearance from the Department of Defense and the DOJ to ensure the arrangement was above board. Sources familiar with their findings say both departments concluded the plan is “legally permissible.”

“report” + “reportedly “ + “ABC Newz ‘sources’” = 100% bullshit ....
i think i’ll wait until something ACTUALLY happens and see what is that ACTUALLY happens ...
And all Senator Melendez received was some lousy gold bars.
Traitors abound among us.
This is a total BS story.
The aircraft, which has flown only a handful of times,
Something about this AF1 story doesn’t scan. How can we have become so inept at getting a high priority job done AT LEAST on time? What’s going on here?
Apart from the optics, why hasn’t the government moved the order from Boeing to, say, Airbus?
from Qatar? This has “very bad optics.” Very bad.
(and hopefully the American technical experts will check that plane over THOROUGHLY before letting President Trump ride it!)
Well said.
Read better
It is being “ gifted” to the US Air Force and Hegseth will be there for the transfer
It will be gutted and retrofitted for POTUS use until Boeing delivers on the FOUR BILLION$ contract they havent yet fulfilled
Then it will be donated to the Trump Presidential Library Foundation ( as property of the USG)
There are NO TRUMP FINGERPRINTS on this arrangement
As was Reagan’s Air Force One jet donated when it was retired
Precedent established
So why have we sold them over $12 Billion in jets?
Precedent
Check Reagan

There needs to be consequences. We should cancel the contract and give it to Airbus.
I’d check it for “ Bugs”
Exactly. Who built it? Who loaded the software?
A “gift” from quasi-enemies should be taken apart, figuratively, and examined 100%...to include all software & comm packages.
Someone controlling a critical sensor or messing with fly-by-wire and we have a dead president, along with all on board.
I'm reminded of a carved eagle plaque presented to the US embassy director by the Red Pioneers of the Soviet Union.
Or maybe a buncha pagers delivered to ISIS, et al.
A complete discussion of legal and constitutional issues ( none) and precedent of donating retired Air Force One as museum to Reagan Pres Library ( USG property)

AIR FORCE ONE: L3 Harris will be pulling all of the wiring and electronics out of the Qatari 474 and replacing them with EMP-proof replacements along with other secret defensive systems - all within 6 months.
I fly the 747 for a living, we have two jets from Qatar Airlines that are both 747–8, they are (were) last time I flew one not our best. They’ve been on the property for about a year now so I think the bugs are getting worked out. Not coming from the royal family, just one of the airliners that they parked and our company acquired them.
