AFAIK most state allow marriage at age 16 with parents permission. Used to be younger in some states. I don’t know if any are now
Until the 20th Century, most states still followed the old English law from colonial times that a male could marry at 14 and a female at 12 with parental permission. That is has since changed. Fourteen states now prohibit marriage to those under 18. They tend to be Blue States that are hostile to the family as the fundamental building block of society and permit abortion as a method of teen birth control. They lack morality.

There have been various reports of the jus primae noctis in various societies through the ages but it may be a myth, at least in Europe. But apparently the controversy continues.

Is there any state which requires a person to be 18 years old to contract a valid marriage? I would doubt it. See above

It wasn’t about getting the underage girls. It was about rubbing shoulders with “important” and powerful people. He did nothing to earn his powerful position. As Rush use to say he was in the “lucky sperm club.”

There have been various reports of the jus primae noctis in various societies through the ages but it may be a myth, at least in Europe. But apparently the controversy continues. I've never read any credible historical account of such a practice. It appears to have been a payment or indulgence to permit the groom to consummate the marriage on the first night, rather than wait any longer:
Droit du seigneur. It does make for spicy stories and movies, but if true would cause a lot of strife for the lord. More commonly, the lesser nobility seduced and deflowered their servant girls, and in turn the lesser nobility would pimp off their girls to higher nobles or the king in return for his favor. Money talks and always did.

And yet, not even one of these newly identified victims has stepped forward to sue Prince Andrew.
Even more startling, not even one of these newly identified victims has filed a criminal complaint against Prince Andrew, even though there is no Statute of Limitations against minor children who were sexually trafficked in the USA.
Ghislaine Maxwell is in prison and has been successfully sued by anonymous female victims who claimed Maxwell trafficked them to Jeffrey Epstein.
Epstein, and the Epstein Estate, have been successfully sued for underage sex by more than forty women, almost all of them anonymous.

In the book of Tobit (or Tobias), Tobit and his bride Sarah pray and then go to sleep on their wedding night. Sarah's previous 7 husbands had all died on their wedding night. So some medieval Christians believed that Tobit's example should be followed (not to consummate the marriage on the wedding night).
Ancient Greek myths where Zeus and other gods have children by mortal women may reflect a reality of Greek society where powerful men could get away with having sex with young unmarried women (whether consensual or not).

So some medieval Christians believed that Tobit's example should be followed (not to consummate the marriage on the wedding night).
At a time that girls were married off in their teens, waiting three nights before consummating the marriage was a way to have a cooling off period in case either side had buyer's remorse. For a little money, some grooms paid not to wait.
Ancient Greek myths where Zeus and other gods have children by mortal women may reflect a reality of Greek society where powerful men could get away with having sex with young unmarried women (whether consensual or not).
One reason women kept their hair covered, and still do in the Middle East, was to avoid attention from powerful men who might have wanted to take liberties with them, or claim them somehow. In Christian Europe, the Church was very powerful. While the oldest son got the title of nobility and the lands in Western Europe, the second son frequently joined a religious order, not due to having a true religious convocation, but for social power. The Church could be expected to check the power of any noble raping women and had the ability to bring such conduct to the overlord or king. I've read an account of priests raping a woman in church, but not a noble forcing young girls to have sex on their wedding night.
