General Michael Flynn has declared his readiness to return to the White House as President Donald Trump’s National Security Advisor.
On Monday, the decorated combat veteran and former National Security Advisor under President Trump took to X with a powerful statement:
“For over four decades, I’ve dedicated my life to serving this great nation, from the battlefields of Afghanistan and Iraq to the halls of Washington.
Whether in uniform, in government, or as a private citizen, my commitment to America and its people has never wavered.
I’ve faced challenges, taken hits, and become stronger, always driven by a deep love for this country and its values.
This love for our nation, for its people, and for its values is what fuels my commitment. If called upon, I’ll protect our nation’s security and ensure our enemies know we mean business.
But no matter where I stand, inside or outside government, I’ll keep fighting for the America we all cherish. That’s my promise, and I’m not done yet.”

I appreciate Gen. Flynn’s willingness to serve, considering all he has been put through but we will all need to wait and see if this is what the Trump Team wants to do at this point in time. It would not surprise me if Trump chose someone else for a public role in this position. He may have concerns about his nominee becoming bogged down in the nominee interview process.
Even were this the case, I hope there will be some other way Trump can put the General to good use, perhaps in an appointed position, one that doesn’t need Congress approval. I think this might be a reason why Sarah Palin has not been nominated for anything, in that although she is highly qualified to serve in several capacities, there is still just too much baggage and controversy around her, much of this controversy exists in her own Party, unfortunately.
“Has Trump even asked him about it?
That is not indicated in the short paragraph.”
Flynn says no. He just wants the job. He has seemed unstable to me for a few years now.
General Flynn would be a wartime Consigliere.
We need Miller right where he is.
General Flynn likely has many wonderful skills and great knowledge. But the ease with which Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka set Flynn up and destroyed him means he is not an appropriate pick for a job in the DC or international snake pits. The way he handled his legal troubles (”Hey, I’ll hire some Democrat lawyers to advise and defend me — they’d never steer me wrong...”) showed very poor judgement, as did following their advice. Being NSA requires keeping you hands clean (don’t take money to lobby for Turkey...) and having a discerning eye for trouble.
General Flynn would be better than any other candidate I can think of.
There’s video at the link, a portion of Benny Johnson’s interview of Flynn from x.
I do believe it is the plan. Just be patient.
I knew it!
Yes!
There is a list of good people who were ruined by deep state lawfare - just as they tried to ruin President Trump. They are casualties of war, and Mike Flynn is definitely on that list.
I think President Trump’s miraculous comeback from political assassination will not be complete until he resurrects these people and brings them back into the fold.
It needs to happen - not only because these people were loyal and are useful to thE MAGA cause. It needs to happen in the name of justice - it was wrong what was done to these people and the record needs to be set straight.
What better way than to put them back the positions they were screwed out of.
I would LOVE to see that happen for Flynn and a bunch of others.
Misleading headline. This makes it sound like Flynn was being presumptuous - he wasn’t.
He was asked if he’d be willing, and he said yes - but he also made it clear he hadn’t been asked and that he was happy to continue serving the cause outside government.
Gen Flynn has a place, IDK where or if there is a place. I do love his fire.
Once bitten twice shy. His wounds will serve him being on watch 24/7/365
