A federal judge in New York on Tuesday extended his block on removal of Tren de Aragua gang members facing deportation under the Alien Enemies Act.
US District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, a 91-year-old Clinton appointee, blasted DOJ lawyers during a hearing on Tuesday and accused them throwing people out of the US “because of their tattoos.”
Earlier this month Hellerstein blocked the removal of two alleged Tren de Aragua gang members in New York.

Why is there a 91 year old judge still on the bench?
If I’m not mistaken, Steve Hilton wasn’t born an American.

There are a huge number of moving parts, most of which were not designed for mass deportations. You have to get rules, regulations and procedures for all sorts of agencies written, approved, distributed and train the workers on them. That Trump has done as much as he has in the time he has is, for government, a miracle.
Then there’s the logistics of actually doing the job. You don’t dare let anyone go hungry or a wound untreated or you’ll have Amnesty International and their cavalcade of Trump haters all over it with photos, video and expert testimony. While you and I don’t care, public image is a necessity. Screw this up and the whole thing will come to a screeching halt covered with three layers of naked pussy-hat wearing liberal women using their bodies to stop you from moving a bus full of illegals. Best to avoid all that.
Even if the process is perfect, $hit will happen, and bad publicity can kill everything. Best be a bit slow but get it unimpeachably right.
Age limits need to be instituted for ALL public offices.

Think this through, Blather. Putting the spotlight on the El Salvador prisons, suggesting we might send Americans there, arguing that those they are shipping out are such thugs that they have to go ALL undermine the effort. There are several million with final deportation orders already, and as Erik Prince suggests, illegals could get their mass due immigration process by deputizing temporary officials to do their thing in ball fields near airports that they could be shipped out from. As Michael Yon has suggested, ships by waterways would be the most efficient way for shipping them out—and until they dismantle the NGOs who shipped all the illegals in, they’re just waiting for the post-Trump moment to ship even more in as well.
There’s a lot that could and should have been done by now, but they seem to have you hoodwinked into thinking they’re doing all they can.

Several times in my career I set up from scratch and managed large-scale enterprises for various companies. The bosses were saying things like, “Just hire a bunch of people and get it going.” Where the rubber meets the road on that can be very difficult. You run into passive and even aggressive resistance in places you’d never expect. You go to an accountant, for example, and ask him to process some paperwork and he says, “That’s not my job.” He’s probably technically right. But I asked, I have a charge number and finally, the CEO puts pressure on the man’s boss. He accepts the job, but then either doesn’t do it or slow-rolls it. Nothing is as simple as it seems to someone who has never done the job.
No, you can’t just deputize a bunch of people to do some unfamiliar tasks. They have to have a procedure. They need training. They have to know what to do when something goes wrong. And it will. If they handle it illegally then your problems cascade into disasters.
I gather you are unhappy with the speed at which Trump is moving. Just who would you have do it instead?
