I wonder sometimes how people become famous. Hogg and that fuzzy headed girl became public leaders of students at that school after the shooting. I think the fuzzy headed girl has faded into obscurity, but Hogg somehow capitalized on his 15 minutes of fame, to get to where he is now.

And as a Democrat leader, that positions him to run for office himself someday.
