I was reading that DOGE also found that many of these agencies that used to have employees that came to work were buying millions in art and furniture.
Where is it? Probably never really bought anything. Someone stealing the money or maybe some were really buying it and taking it home.
Corruption was so deep in Washington that it might never be excised...........
Personaly it doesn’t matter to me.
If it is more convenient for them to put me on hold for an hour and then hang up on me with never talking to me from their home rather than from a desk in an office; I’m okay with that.
I work from home, and if my employer demanded that I return to the office - I would have two choices. Federal employees should NOT have it differently.
They’re not special, not privileged, not anything better than anyone else. Any false sense of superiority based on your employer or proximity to leadership doesn’t anoint you with a special status or royal title.
Get dressed, pack your lunch, be on time. You work for me, the taxpayer, and I expect a good day’s work from you. I’ll do the same for my employer today too.
Government workers are like spoiled children who have been pampered their whole lives and suddenly they learn the meaning of ‘No!’.................
Not exactly. We accepted less pay to get better benefits. The problem came when upper level jobs became lucrative. Then they started hiring people they couldn’t hold accountable (DEI) by design. I can’t go back to the office. It no longer exists.
\%
were they on the clock and receiving pay while doing this ?
were they wearing 1 or 4 n95 masks too ?
c19 is so 2019

“I can’t go back to the office. It no longer exists.”
That sounds like a good end game for federal employees.
Lol.
I’d like to see some numbers on how many remote workers have been terminated by defying the back to work order. Also, where are the layoffs in the DOJ, DOD, CIA, Agriculture and Labor. A few random firings is not going to drain the swamp.
Costs saving. They can move people from on-campus building to off campus and open up that building for teaching/research/housing. Working from home is not ideal for old people like me. You basically retire but still go into the office every day. That’s why I went back to work after retiring. I may as well get paid
“Ernst said that some federal employees have showed up at the office to protest having to show up at the office”
Poor babies are probably just afraid they will miss some episodes on TikTok or Meta if they actually have to work at the office that hired them.
BTTT
The big number (which I have not seen yet) is how many feds took regular or early retirement once the back to work announcement was made early in the administration.
If I had to guess it was close to ten percent of the work force.
Is there is a single rational thought that the left is capable of?
I beg to differ.....
ALL the left ARE spoiled children who have never heard *No*. They will never understand the meaning of it because not being able to manipulate their own way into something is not something they are familiar with.
Well, really—where else are they going to protest? From their living rooms? Their bedrooms? The beach on their secret April vacay?
There should not be Career Tenure in Federal workplace
The Bee gets me again. Dammit.
