Stephen Miller, Rebalancing Global Trade is a “Matter of National Survival”
The Conservative Treehouse - The Last Refuge ^ | April 5, 2025 | Sundance

White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller appears on Fox News to discuss the importance of the tariff policy and reestablishing American industry via the global trade reset.

Miller outlines the U.S market reaction to President Donald Trump’s tariffs and China’s 34% countervailing tariff response on U.S. products.  As Miller notes, the tariff program is simply one part within the rebalancing of trade to protect American industry.  WATCH (prompted):

Well either Trump is going to be on Mt Rushmore or by the 2028 convention the GOP will act like he’s not even President like they did with W in 08. There isn’t much of an in between anymore.
I kinda lean towards this working out but we shall see.

Sorry, but “balancing global trade” is a myth and not a valid economic goal at all.

“The Wealth of Nations” is found in the voluntary cooperation between buyers and sellers in the marketplace FREE from gov’t interference, as Adam Smith wrote in 1776 and America demonstrated in the 1800’s.

“voluntary cooperation”

Yes Japan, China and others voluntarily levied hefty tariffs, but the US did not voluntarily cooperate to balance them out.

The entire DeepState/Uniparty since Clinton has been on a path to reduce the US to just another state in the new global order, with citizens dependent on gov’t for everything.

Until Trump came along.

You’re correct. However, notice how Trump is using tariffs. He puts it on nations who are hosing us in trade, until they drop their tariffs. Then he releases it. Level field of play.

Now-a-days Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations reads like comedy. If you look at all the damage free trade has done to the USA and the debt incurred, factories closed, lives ruined, as a result then the audio book version really needs a laugh track.

I wish they would point out that our factories went overseas because there are no governmental controls on the factories overseas. Not only can those factories pay slave wages. Not only can they hire children with no workers comp, no limit on hours worked. And no benefits our workers get. But they pollute up a storm. And if the factory itself does not pollute it will attach itself to a coal burning electric grid that will fill the skies with smog and CO2. The democrats somehow think that if they don’t see the pollution its not there. No company is green if their product is made in a third world country.

Adam Smith was the world's first globalist Free Traitor™. Talk about a failed economic theory.

Not only that free trade makes our workers accept third world wages to compete.

Marxism is the breeding ground for Gov’t Command and Control Economy - the opposite of the Free Trade Economy.

You are very confused.

I’ve gone 15 rounds with you before and don’t wish to play irrational merry-go-round games with you, but you are very confused about economics.

Have a good day.

Hey Adam Smiths’ theories work well inside the USA between the 50 states. When you reach the border then his theory is total BS. You know it but you can’t admit it because if you Free Traitor’s™ every acknowledged what you did to this once beautiful country I think most of you globalist maggots would commit seppuku.

instead of Adam Smith, please check out Friederich List, and his influence over American trade policy in the 1800s

Free from Government Interference? You’re joking right?

Our Federal Government has many policies that make the US non-competitive in energy and manufacturing.

Then on top of that other countries have high tariff’s to keep our products from being sold in their countries while they are allowed to dump products into our market.

The middle class has been shrinking for generations and working people are in despair. Seriously Wake up.

Pay attention.

I was talking about the economic theory of the Free Market.

No theory is ever perfectly realized, but 1800’s America came close and proved the value of the Free Market Economy when gov’t spending was around 5% of the GDP.

YOU need to wake up.
