Sorry, but “balancing global trade” is a myth and not a valid economic goal at all.

“The Wealth of Nations” is found in the voluntary cooperation between buyers and sellers in the marketplace FREE from gov’t interference, as Adam Smith wrote in 1776 and America demonstrated in the 1800’s.

“voluntary cooperation”

Yes Japan, China and others voluntarily levied hefty tariffs, but the US did not voluntarily cooperate to balance them out.

The entire DeepState/Uniparty since Clinton has been on a path to reduce the US to just another state in the new global order, with citizens dependent on gov’t for everything.

Until Trump came along.

You’re correct. However, notice how Trump is using tariffs. He puts it on nations who are hosing us in trade, until they drop their tariffs. Then he releases it. Level field of play.

Now-a-days Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations reads like comedy. If you look at all the damage free trade has done to the USA and the debt incurred, factories closed, lives ruined, as a result then the audio book version really needs a laugh track.

Adam Smith was the world's first globalist Free Traitorâ„¢. Talk about a failed economic theory.

instead of Adam Smith, please check out Friederich List, and his influence over American trade policy in the 1800s

Free from Government Interference? You’re joking right?

Our Federal Government has many policies that make the US non-competitive in energy and manufacturing.

Then on top of that other countries have high tariff’s to keep our products from being sold in their countries while they are allowed to dump products into our market.

The middle class has been shrinking for generations and working people are in despair. Seriously Wake up.
