Once upon a time, it was fairly common for highly educated men in the United States to marry less-educated women. But beginning in the mid-20th century, as more women started to attend college, marriages seemed to move in a more egalitarian direction, at least in one respect: A greater number of men and women started partnering up with their educational equals. That trend, however, appears to have stalled and even reversed in recent years. Gaps in educational experience among heterosexual couples are growing again. And this time? It’s women who are “marrying down.”

They reap the twenty-year war against men.
BTW, if I had it do over again, I wouldn’t have gotten a college degree. I’d have gotten a electrical license and in a few years, I’d have had my own company. I hated working for idiots.
In retrospect, an electricians license would have been a golden choice. I think it still is!
Less educated doesn’t mean unintelligent.
good to know thanks!!
educated and smart are not even remotely the same in today’s world. smart women marry a man who is a match to the their level of intelligence in a complementary way while liberally indoctrinated women, educated as they may be, seek men they can Lord over. men they can control.
Bkmk
Beautiful words and thank you for bringing that out.
It’s so refreshing to hear that.
I hear nightmare stories about younger people and dating. Many of these ‘educated’ women have useless degrees but look down upon the majority of the men they meet if the men don’t have one, they don’t want to ‘settle for that’. Consequently, many young men are removing themselves from dating.
It’s so misguided.
Uneducated poeple of the US Eunight!
Uneducated poeple of the US Eunight!
Lord knows you need to marry a woman with a degree in “women’s studies or gay arts”.
An education is one thing, indoctrination is another thing.
Be careful which you choose…
30 years ago, a colleague at the college where I taught was a never-married English/logic instructor. She married a locksmith who had his own business, so they were both able to support themselves, and this way they wouldn't face the rest of their lives lonely. It lasted about five years, when she decided she couldn't stand not being able to discuss literature with him, and he decided he couldn't stand feeling stupid with her.
Postscript: she got her one bucket list wish, became a one-night contestant on Jeopardy. He's still picking locks.
That’s true.
What were we talking about again I suddenly had a ADHD attack upon viewing your reply.
Exactly.
That’s right.
Correct!
Then there’s my daughter and SIL. She has a degree, he’s a high school grad who makes pipes. The difference, however, is that my daughter’s degree is in IT, so she might as well be a tradesperson.
OTOH, 40yo son has civil engineering and urban planning degrees, good paying job, straight but never married, and probably never will.
Ain't that the truth. And to think men, or women, without a college "education" are somehow less than or stupid ... you are clueless.
“All hail the coming Matriarchy!”
They can’t fix the plumbing.
