Not sure that’s 500 yards, maybe 300, but hard to tell in the video.
Also that’s not a crew served weapon; it’s not the M2.

I had a friend in Alaska who had a single shot bolt action .50 BMG rifle wit a bipod and a big chevron muzzle brake. It may have been an Iver Johnson, maybe not. That sucker was over 4 ft. Long and weighed about 40 lbs. At the range my friend would warn the shooters on either side about the muzzle blast. If they move right away they sure did after his first shot. You can see the blast from JD’s shots in the video.
