Congressman Raúl Grijalva (D-AZ) has died at the age of 77 after suffering complications with his cancer treatment. A staunch open borders advocate, Grijalva served for over 21 years in the House of Representatives and rose to become a powerful figure in the Democrat Caucus.
Many other outlets also now reporting.
Don’t have the same reaction I used to have to news like this.
We might extend that, to the apparent non-disclosure of his health issues during his final campaign of 2024. Did that deny the voters of Arizona's 7th Congressional District from being able to make a fully informed choice when voting?
No doubt there will be official ceremonies in the upcoming days, but his improper actions while in office should also be made part of his legacy.

A. When a vacancy occurs in the office of United States senator or representative in Congress by reason of death or resignation, or from any other cause and except as provided in subsection D of this section, the vacancy shall be filled at the next general election. At such an election the person elected shall fill the unexpired term of the vacated office.
B. For a vacancy in the office of representative in Congress, if the next general election is not to be held within six months after the date of the occurrence of the vacancy, the governor shall call a special primary election and a special general election to fill the vacancy. The governor shall call the special primary election and establish its date within seventy-two hours after the office is officially declared vacant.
All said and done, good riddance he was a rectal vent caving totally to illegals and cartels on every issue. I don't expect his replacement to be any better, republicans don't stand a chance in Baja Arizona.

Grijalva, born in Navajoa, Mexico, used to be the leader of progressive caucus. One of the far left democrats.
He was long term congressman in minority-majority district of South Arizona, including democratic parts of Tucson.
He was known for massive amounts of alcohol consumed.
He was once accused of sexual harassment, but successfully defend himself, claiming he was just drunk.
So DemonRATs actually do die?
I expect his daughter Adelita, currently Mayor of Tucson and just as large of a lump of commie filth as her late father, will run for the seat.
