~The Beltway rumour is that, on his flight to DC, Zelenskyyyy was telephoned by Victoria Nuland, She-Wolf of the Donbass, plus Susan Rice and Anthony Blinken and advised to get tough with Trump. If true, that's gotta be the worst episode of "Phone-a-Friend" since the plucky little Ukrainian started playing Who Wants to Be a Billionaire (in Euros)? For all you nuanced diplomatists out there, there is now a rather arcane dispute as to whether Z called the Vice President of the United States a "bitch" or merely interjected "f**king hell":

The Beltway buzz is that, on his flight to DC, Zelensky was advised by Victoria Nuland, Susan Rice and Anthony Blinken to “get tough” with Trump........a colossal miscalculation.

IF THIS IS IN ANY WAY TRUE, THEY MUST IMMEDIATELY BE CHARGED WITH GROSS VIOLATIONS OF THE LOGAN ACT.

Frogmarching to follow.

"President Trump has 2 options. 1. Put rroops in Ukraine and start WWIII, or let Putin have his way and NATO volunteers to put in peacekeeping troops, and we have WWIII.

Sure he does. /sarc

There are many other options but the best one is to cut off Ukraine and Europe entirely and say that any countries that go voluntarily into the Ukraine are not under the protection of the USA. Then sit back and watch the Europeans get chewed up by the Russians for a while until they give up.

“President Trump has 2 options. 1. Put rroops in Ukraine and start WWIII, or let Putin have his way and NATO volunteers to put in peacekeeping troops, and we have WWIII.”

Option 1 is out. Option 2 is more realistic, but I like option 3. Russia is not going to risk attacking Ukraine while Trump is in office. Russia’s best bet is to negotiate with Trump for business collaboration opportunities to replenish their coffers. In exchange, Russia declares the war to be over, claim victory and tell Ukraine that there will be peace. Let Europe deal with the fallout.

Or there is always option three. Join in an alliance with Russia and attack Ukraine with US Troops. Seize Kiev and occupy the rest of Ukraine—and force a peace. Hold free elections. Make peace and leave—after we get the treaty giving us the minerals.

Whatever side Germany is on in WWIII, I want to be on the opposite side.

0-2 isn’t a winning track record..

“Maybe the Logan Act is applicable here. Susan Rice also showed up on MSNBC immediately after the meeting.”

Wow. There was a headline in here just after this Oval Office situation about Susan Rice’s pearl clutching. I skipped over it irrelevant

Zelensky acts like he believes this old guard the Biden people are still wink wink in power wink wink

I don’t doubt they themselves still think they are in power or that they matter

They are not and never will be

That doesn’t mean they don’t believe they still reign. Or that CNN and the nearly defunct msnbc still go with the idea that this regime will always hold sway in international matters

They don’t they’re not even relevant.

Zelensky is not getting any more money from the U.S. he has no one left to blackmail, no one cares what he tells about any of the politicians, Biden’s, military brass, nothing

He has no leverage. Nor do they. Susan rice has no more leverage

“NATO volunteers to put in peacekeeping troops,”

Like who? German young adults who have been vacationing with their parents for six weeks every summer, learning in school tgat western values are crap, watching their country allowing an invasion?

The same demographic from France?

WW III and were going to jump back in if Trump isn’t careful?

Trump is not getting us involved.

Or just make a deal with Putin and somehow force the Ukrainians to abide by it (unlike the last several agreement they made) and we can have actual peace.

I like this the best. At least then, you don’t have any Ukrainian government left to break the deals like they did the last few.

Make a deal with Putin with the understanding that if Putin violates the agreement, we’ll release the hounds on him. He gets one shot. Trump can be your best friend, or your worst enemy. This is the “Best Friend” phase.

The EU and US are going to cut Russia in on Ukraine reconstruction. Hundreds of billions of dollars flowing to Russia and the influence it will buy in Ukraine, EU and US. That will be enough to keep Putin from going for more hot war and leave that play for the next Kremlin leader. War is just bad for global business and everyone except Ukrainians who want their own borders, language andculture want to kick the Russian revanchist can down the road at the point.

“The President booted the guy from the White House and gave
the Ukrainian's lunch to the Oval Office interns. I have always found
the American vernacular "oh, the guy totally ate my lunch" incredibly
lame, but, if Trump is now proposing to make it literal, I wish he'd
started with Keir Starmer.”
