Howard Lutnick Says There Are Already a Quarter Million People Who May Buy $5M Trump Gold Card
(Excerpt) Read more at rumble.com ...
I already have one from AmeX, don’ need another one.
Not in favor of this idea.
I know of people from Vietnam, China, Korea who have paid $500K-$1MM for existing real-estate and business investment schemes that eventually, at the end of the multi-year process, offer a US Green Card (Residents Permit)
If the process Trump is proposing is transparent (doesn’t need agents/lawyers), simple/unbureaucratic, and speedy - there would easily be 250K multi-millionaires around the globe who would jump on this chance.
So what is your idea to raise 5 trillion dollars and create millions of jobs.
Some oligarchs from Red China will probably be in line to get these golden tickets. That’s all we need
If they’re vetted properly, no one from Red China will make the cut.
At five million dollars I doubt the vetting process will be all that stringent. Plus they won’t “vetted” for their culture even if it’s completely abhorrent to American values such Islam and Hinduism.
so what happens when these extra people get to retirement age? we got a couple million more people collecting social security, and their spouse or families that they buy a gold card for and bring with them, or have while here. do we keep bringing in more and more people for $5M to balance it out?
Maybe a short term fix for bigger headache down the road.
People are already allowed in under a similar program called the EB-5 visa. Many countries have similar type investor visas. Bring enough cash and invest in the local economy you get a green card ( or whatever it’s called in other countries). All Trump did was raise the price. $5 million, presumably to the treasury, and maybe (just guessing) more money into the economy. He calls it the Gold Card. As long as the people are well vetted and will invest in the US economy and labor force, I’m ok with it. Use the $5 mil to pay down debt, and then get them to invest in or start local businesses.
200,000 x $5 Million gold cards = $1 Trillion
Lutnick stated this
Yes, My math was wrong, see post #10.
Last time I checked, my "gold card" was made out of plastic.
That word has been out from the start.
Taxes are ubiquitous.
They can pay them in the EU, in their home country or in the USA. The taxes in the USA will be a better deal for them than EU or most home countries plus there won’t be tariffs on the products they sell.
I don’t think those comming on the gold card will be buying middle class houses. The folks that work at the businesses they open will be though but those folks are already Americans.
Generic FYI . . . the median income for the top 1% of the world is $32K.
That’s top 1%. Not the median income overall.
I suspect someone has overestimated the number with $5M liquid assets.
In addition, wealthy immigrants would spend and invest in the US domestic economy, thereby boosting economic growth and tax revenues.
Lutnick already has a list of 250K applicants
250,000 x 5,000,000 = 1,250,000,000,000
That’s 1 trillion and 250 billion
