It’s probably a moot point. Constitutionally, such a secession would require approval from Congress and the legislatures of both states involved. I’m not sure why Oregon would agree to loss of territory and population to Idaho.
There is no possible answer except YES!
Needs approval from both state legislatures and Congress.
As far as I know, ID has already voted and approved it.
The state reps in Oregon of the 2/3rds that want to leave need to vote and get it past oregon. They should have more then enough votes geographically speaking.
No, we need them.
Portland/Eugene need to be “adjusted” by God.
To avoid a civil war maybe? It is no different than a county and a city agreeing to expanding incorporated vs unincorporated communities for tax purposes and to accommodate the local property owners.
Get out of that state! Get out of that state you’re in!
They could attack west Oregon. Just spit-balling here
Why give up your land. Just redraw the lines and everyone wins ! Except the libs of course who want conservatives to pay for their liberal agenda.
And Southeastern Illinois to Indiana?
This is FR after all. We thrive on considering all an available options. The time to move on this is NOW when conservatives have the unity of purpose in our favor.
Add Eastern Washington too.
Two or three counties out of 39 run Washington state and have totally disenfranchised the other 33.
No, Oregonians need to take back their state from the mental retards occupying the capital.

Today’s secessionists are, by and large, hard-working taxpayers. No way would Oregon want to lose that tax base.
Out of curiosity I looked it up. Oregon Democrats have a comfortable majority in both the state House and the state Senate. So they have no need to get rid of any conservative voters.
Make ‘em stay, and make ‘em pay.
The same is true of the secessionist Illinois counties.
If they can help break the RINO hold on Idaho that would be good.
Governor Brad Little can dress up in “Conservative Drag”, but the Chamber of Commerce drives the show prosecuting and persecuting dissenters from the Medical Industrial Complex’s mask and vaccine rules of the ‘COVID Era”.
Too many liberals I think masking themselves inside Idaho’s GOP.
"Should Eastern Oregon secede to Idaho?"
Since the very corrupt federal government hasn't been doing its job to guarantee each state a republican form of government imo, perhaps Eastern Oregon should wait to see how well Trump and Musk restore constitutional protections before seceding.
“it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.”
