We’re also on a well. Thankfully, no need for RO (Reverse Osmosis).

We’ve had our well water tested, numerous times over the years...and, thankfully, always comes back with excellent passing grades.

However, we have an elderly family member who is on “city”/MUD water....that is now rated INFERIOR!! They even advise against drinking, for immunocompromised, etc.

They recently installed an RO system, after years of purchasing bottled water (in plastic bottles 😔). Their neighbors who’ve done the same have received great testing scores, post RO.

Not sure why you wouldn’t be able to use RO for your well water, dr Steve.

#7 Aspartame Is Not Good For Our Health

I don't think anyone ever claimed it was good for your health, though it's much better than drinking all that high fructose corn syrup in regular soda.

It is pretty much harmless. It's just a regular amino acid which yeah when it breaks down one of its by-products is methanol, but big deal, it's only in trace amounts and your body already has a few dozen other processes that also create way more methanol as a by-product.

So our bodies already have a natural concentration of methanol present in our system. The trace amounts added by drinking Diet Soda don't significantly add to it and our livers are more than capable of handling.

ARC classified aspartame as possibly carcinogenic to humans (IARC Group 2B) and JECFA reaffirmed the acceptable daily intake of 40 mg/kg body weight.

There's about 200mg in a 12 ounce Diet Coke, so the quoted safe limit is 13 cans per day for a 150 pound person.
