....The Department of Justice is investigating a central New York sheriff for not honoring a federal arrest warrant and releasing a migrant who was in jail on an assault charge.

Acting Deputy U.S. Attorney General Emil Bove said Thursday that the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office released Jesus Romero-Hernandez, a 27-year-old man from Mexico who was in the country illegally.

Chicago released 2 migrants charged with child trafficking.
Against ICE request for a detainer.

Then 2 days later they are now charged in a murder.

Sad, but this is becoming not only the norm, but accepted by the left.

The United States is a republic made up of 50 independent states tied together by what should be a weak federal government.
As such, the states are not required to cooperate with the fed.
However, they can’t interfere.
The difference is a very fine line.
This case needs clarification from the Supreme Court.
