The real deniers of climate change are the people who:
Opposed removing dry brush, dead trees, and other fuel from the forests.
Opposed building new reservoirs.
Opposed building large scale, Israeli-style desalination plants.
and
Supported sending trillions of gallons of rainwater into the ocean instead of using it for humans.
As netzero does not exist, human caused CC does not either.
This fire reminds one of the movie “Lion King”. It is a Circle of Life. Forest burns down. Comes back greener and lusher after the deadwood is removed (including Democrat leadership).
And opposed using cisterns to collect roof drainage, for irrigation.
To them the only way they fight their climate change is take taxpayer money and make everyone suffer as much as possible ,LOL
And those who don’t believe that Atmospheric CO2 is effectively a fertilizer.
[Check out the common greenhouse practice of increasing CO2 in the air of the greenhouse to promote growth.]
asked a California friend what they call the fire department in Lost Angeles. he just said the acronym says it all...LAFD. then he laughed.
build on coastlines while preaching about rising sea levels...
Supported sending trillions of gallons of rainwater into the ocean instead of using it for humans.

So supposedly this had something to do with saving smelt. Has there been any evidence presented that it actually did that?
That’s true.
None. In fact the “Delta Smelt” NEVER existed in the wild. It is a genetic variation of the plentiful minnows that was brought into existence in the Cal-Bezerkley lab. It has ONLY ever lived in the labratory.

I found that using Zillow gave me a better idea of what caused that damage.
Both Pacific Palisades and Altadena are up against national parks.
Both are multi million dollar home locations.
Altadena is where JPL is located.
The houses take up almost all of the property.
Brush clearing should be 200 feet.
The 200 feet falls into national park territory.
In many cases the homes are located 10 feet apart, the minimum by zoning codes.
This should have been addressed by the building department and fire department before building permits were granted.
We are not allowed to have wood shingles, our roofs are fire resistant.
We had plenty of water in our reservoirs but because California hasn’t built any new dams in about 50 years, Newsom is always calling for water restrictions.
Here are our reservoir numbers

So, instead of having lush lawns as a fire buffer, homeowners planted trees and shrubs.
Looking at Zillow it appears homeowners planted the trees that the fire department said not to.
I Googled fire resistant trees and they are the hardwood kind, like Oak and Walnut.

1. Italian Cypress: Remove if center of trunk is within 10 feet of any
structure.
2. Junipers: Remove within 10 feet of any structure.
3. Bougainvillea: Remove from all structures.
4. Wisteria/Trumpet Vines/Creeping Fig, etc.: Remove from all
structures.
5. Palms: All palm trees should be free of dead or dying fronds.
Consider removing unmaintained trees.
6. Pines: Maintain all pines free of dead material.
I know from people in the fire department that the paperwork makes it too hard to do fire breaks and controlled burning.
I’m also told that sheep, goats and cattle are no longer used to keep the brush down.
I know from people in the fire department that when a newer house burns down, the melted plastic water pipes let the water flow freely lowering water pressure at the fire hydrants.
Rick Caruso ran against Karen Bass.
Caruso hired a private fire fighting team and hauled in water trucks to protect his strip mall.

A five-acre brush fire was reported in the Palisades Highlands near the Santa Ynez Reservoir and adjacent to Topanga State Park at 9:50 a.m. on November 13.
…
Los Angeles Fire Department Margaret Stewart told KTLA News that this area is a challenge because there are no hydrants, but that water tenders (large trucks carrying water) were being sent to the area.
We’re removing dead trees from our property.
And cutting them up for firewood if they’re not yet rotted.
My understanding is that the smelt haven’t been seen in 7 years.
“...are the people who”
Have air conditioning?
60 years ago, we had a small fishpond in our back yard in the SF valley.
When the rains came, we would run over to the Sepulveda dam complex and grab literally hundreds of minnows in buckets, as well as a bunch of crawfish.
We would put them in the fishpond. In a week or so, all the minnows were gone - the crawdads had snagged them all.
There are STILL an abundance of minnows after every big rain.
The whole “Delta Smelt” scam is right up there with Global Warming and Fauci Flu.
The smelt apparently was once native to the sacramento/san joaquin delta, but has not been seen in the wild since 2015. Fisheries have breeding populations and have tested reintroducing them to the river; the fish only live a year anyway so it is difficult to say whether this effort has made any difference. All seems rather pointless considering the nature of the alternative demands on the water supply. Fish are important, in principle, but people are more important, in fact.
Smelt - yes. "Delta Smelt" - no. For the "Delta Smelt" - "Native" means they dumped some from the genetic lab aquarium into the river, and watched them swim for a few minutes.
