Trump has nominated Kash Patel to be the next FBI director.
The director in his speech said that the bureau needs to do its work professionally, "with rigor" and "integrity," and follow the facts regardless of where they lead, according to The Hill.
“It means conducting investigations without fear or favor. And it means not pursuing investigations when the predication is not there,” Wray said during the ceremony. “That’s what the rule of law is all about ... We’ve got to maintain our independence and objectivity, staying above partisanship and politics. Because that’s what the American people expect, and I think that’s what they deserve.”

Scumbag....
If there is an investigation of Wray by the Republicans, (I wish, but not holding my breath on that one) hopefully, neither Jim Jordan or Goudy will have anything to do with it. Hat and cattle situation.
In a post on Twitter, he was quoted saying that he gave over 5700 badges and credentials.
Someone feel free to correct my math:
7.5+/- years as FBI Director.
5700+ / 7.5 yrs = 760 recruits per year.
On a good day, with the squeakiest clean applicant, takes at least 6 months to test and do background check. In the law enforcement, I was told it took an insane amount of applicants to offer one applicant a job….100 to 1(?)
Then they have to get enough people to fill a class. And the dates aren’t firm. Start dates are flexible in how fast a class fills up.
Class is around 20 weeks. And recruits get TS/SCI clearance before they attend. The only people that have higher ones are Cabinet Secretaries, very Senior agency, certain members of Congress and the President.
So, you’re looking at a hear to get someone from submitting an app to getting a badge from Wray.
How are they putting that many people thru when EVERY agency is scrapping for people.
I’ve heard that DEA, Marahals and SS are dropping the colllege requirement.
“sidestep “partisanship and politics” in the future”
So... on his way out the door he admits the FIB is partisan and political.
ROFL
In the future because they have learned their lesson.
Trump promoted Wray. He was already the next guy in line.
God willing!
500 pounders urge moderation in eating.
Maintain? Man’s hallucinating.
“I hope Trump & Co. nails this weasel to the wall (and a whole bunch of others too).”
I do, too. But I don’t think he will. He’s the kind who wants to move on and carry out his plans ASAP. Looking back takes too much time.
That was a huge mistake when he was #45. Right out of the gate he should’ve prosecuted PIAPS and her cohorts. Set the tone; give a visual aid to others with nefarious intentions.
Agree. I guess Jordan will be Chairman of Judicial Committee. He’s weak. Talks a good game, but is ineffective. As you noted, Gowdy-esque.
Man's lying. He needs to cool his heels in jail for lying during congressional testimony.
So Wray states ... The bureau must sidestep “partisanship and politics” in the future in order to maintain “independence” and “objectivity” .
So he just admitted they haven’t.
F&^k him TOO!
It's too bad he didn't require that in the past.
Wray is going to be lucky if doesn’t get prosecuted.
I hate to say it but I'll bet there won't be any price to pay for any of them. They're so going to be protected by the monstrous, gargantuan deep state and their partisan judges.
